ADSHOC for Aug 23
 

Well, I've woken up and had breakfast. The next step in my plans for the day is to play poker until this time tomorrow. I've previously completed the 3-6 ADHOC Chrome, but since then I've moved from 3-6 full to 5-10 6max as my regular game. As such, I do not know what to call this attempt, because I haven't seen any 6max standards or hand req's laid out. I am going to be playing 3 tables because I think if I play more than that, at around the 18-hour mark it will become -ev and unfun at the same time. I'll update, at the minimum, every hour.

Oh god here we go. I'm starting at 8:30 PST.

1 hour update:

Not sure how many hands, have been playing 3 tables of 6max the whole time, but pokertracker is lagging on the importing. Currently +10BB. Started out with a standard -20BB skid but recovered nicely.

Still going strong! Suffered a few atrocious beats but that's the nature of the beast. 23 hours to go!

Hour 3 update:

Hooooooboy that was a fun hour. Now at +72BB. Running goot as hell. Also, what's up to the dude I talked to - if you post here, that is. I'm feeling good about making it 21 more hours.

5 hour update: bonus is alllllmost cleared, and I'm at +128BB. Still doing very well physically and mentally.

Haha, I was about to update and said "hmm, it feels like I've just been treading water for an hour." Then I check and sure enough, still +128BB. However, I did clear the bonus so that's another 10BB on top that I won't count (being withdrawn immediately for the next time I can get a good price on a second 2001fp).

This is fun. At the 25% mark I'm feeling great. Last time I did this, though, I had two red bulls at the 20 and 21 hour marks. I don't have any red bull this time. Hmmm...

Yeah, I'm still working up to 4-tabling. I can do it, but not for 24 hours.

7 hours done! +148BB. Ate some little cornbread muffins. Nothing reaaallly interesting happening other than probably the crazy-awesome good streak. Cheers!

...and we are aborting the mission. A 100BB downswing in an hour is enough to make me concerned I'm not playing my best. Perhaps 3 tables of 6max for 9+ hours is a bit more than I could handle. I'm off to starbucks and going to relax this evening.
