Table 14. Man, I've never seen such tight play at Pacific before. I've learn to adapt, and I've bought several pots so far.
Good luck all. |
Re: *Official* Pacific 200k Guaranteed Monday
Lost. What do you all think about my last hand.
Blinds 15/30 UTG + 2 (2079) limps 30 Villain (Dealer) (2950) raises 90 Hero (SB) (1716) calls 60 with Ad Qd BB folds UTG + 2 calls FLOP Qs Jc 3h Hero (SB) checks UTG + 2 checks Villain (Dealer) bets 210 Hero raises 420 UTG + 2 folds Villian calls 210 Turn Qs Jc 3h 10c Pot:1140 Hero Pushes 1221 with TPTK to protect against draws. Villian after thinking for a while gave me a brief sign of relief that he doesn't have AK. However he calls with KK. River Qs Jc 3h 10c 6h I just called pre-flop, because I was out of position, and had no way of controlling the pot size. Should I have re-raised to 250, and then folded to a possible big re-re-raise? After the flop, I thought I had the best hand. However I would probably have folded had he re-raised my minimum raise quickly, since its early. He just called though. Should I have led out? On the turn, was my all-in wise? I was protecting myself from all the draws. If I am betting 400, I am pot-commiting myself to an all in anyways. So rather then give him the correct price to call if he had a king, then I'll just push him all in I think I am overthinking way too much, and had no chance of escaping that hand. Thats poker. Thanks for all the replies |

Re:1st Break
No action on Big hands.
Had to let go of KK on turn w/ A hit flop and cont bet was called. 1500 on 55. Need some cards w/ callers now. PGA71 |
Re:1st Break
2270 at the break
|
Re:1st Break
$4600 at the first break. My KK held up against a AK all-in preflop.
|
Re:1st Break
2200 at break.
|
Re:1st Break
Gone!!!
AK push loses to AQ call preflop. Keep making good plays, the cash will come. |
Re:1st Break
Yuck. $3400 at second break. No cards for a while. Time to make a move.
Tournament chip leader (at my table) had these three hands back-to-back-to-back: AA, KK floped a set, quad 7's. All for big pots. |
Re:1st Break
8657 at 2nd break
|
Re:1st Break
Out when I push JJ preflop (8 big blinds), and get called by by a medium-sized stack (about 15 big blinds) with AJ. He hits a straight.
Good luck whoever's left. |
Re:1st Break
Top 20 at 3rd break, 14 more to the money.
|
Re:1st Break
anyone else still in this? I'm at 68K with 45 left
|
Re:1st Break
Hanging in there with around $30K.
|
Re:1st Break
Yeah probably not for long though, got 17k, just lost 44 to AA, dropped 1/2 my stack.
|
Re:1st Break
Well, there goes that. I'm roughly 8th in chips, UTG with KK. Put in a min raise. MP pushes, I barely have him covered, he's probably 9th in chips. I call, 136K pot, he has QQ and makes quads, then I'm BB with .5BBs and 64o, out in 34th

Re:1st Break
Down to 17, currently 10th with about 82k. The blinds are brutal (moving to 7.5k/15k). I know I don't post much but if you wanna sweat a 2+2er in training come on by, handle is the same as my username. Play will probably be criticized, still learning the intricacies of tourneys.

Re:1st Break
I'm still learning too, and have sucked out my way into the chip lead.
|
Re:1st Break
Out in 8th when my AK didn't improve vs. QQ. Tough break, but the blinds left me no choice.
$4k, I'll take it. Thanks to all the 2+2ers posting here, I've learned a lot so far, I hope to contribute more as I get closer to the level of the frequent posters here. |
