Ivey is tearing these games up, just called an all in from the grinder on a 3h 7h 10h board with JJ no heart. grinder shows QcTc and ivey takes down another 23k

Yes and yes. Great to see Phil Ivey, Matusow, Spirit Rock, and the grinder all playing at the same table.

Re: Ivey = God

While Ivey's great, I think he just got lucky in this hand. He wasn't betting and raising knowing that he was against a one-outer. He thought his set of sevens was best. There is no way he thought he would see KK at the river. His opponent played a great hand and got extremely unlucky on the river. If the board had paired queens instead of 7s Ivey would have gotten stacked.

Who was BB on this hand? He played the hand very well.

I assume that you mean that Ivey = God because of his ability to control the future? Otherwise, I don't really understand this post.

Ivey played it fine, just got unlucky, and then real lucky.

I was expecting some incredibly thin calldown or perhaps a massive bluff with thorough analysis and reasoning behind other one. My ability to predict threads via Subject is way off as of late.

He typed out he did and was pissed about suckout. Also, I doubt he'd lie about it, and I doubt he'd call without a hand that beats AK there.

Re: Ivey = God

Yes... I've seen Ivey lose sizeable pots before, but not as big as the one for the hand you just posted.

One time he was at a three handed table, in a hand against someone (I don't remember who unfortunately)... flop came down 3 4 5 suits unimportant. Ivey bet, opponent raised, Ivey reraised, opponent went all in, and Ivey called... turn and river cards were bricks I can't remember it's irrelevant.

Turns out opponent had 76 where as Ivey had 6x for open end straight draw. Ivey left after that, and opponent kept mumbling wow and how much in awe he was of what had just happened... about a $10K pot if I recall... I swear this is true.
