Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)

Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
Is anyone going for this?
Even if I 4-table at $1/2-full for all nine hours, do I stand a chance against the 6-maxers, particularly at $5/10 where hands are raked more often? |
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
Last bonanza or whatever they called it (lucy jones i think ), I got into 3rd a bunch of times playing .5/1, less players then, but I wasn't doing it the full time alloted.
I'm thinking I'll do $25 NL 6 max this time, probably the best shot for a microlimit player. |

I'm not sure what % of hands are raked at the various limit games, but 6-max NL goes something like this: 25NL-6max = 50% hands are raked 50NL-6max = 65% hands are raked 100NL-6max = 83% hands are raked |
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
For the low-limit games, I have something like:
57% for $0.50/1 full 66% for $1/2 full Although the % raked hands might be a tad lower at the 6-max versions of these games, my guess is that since there are more hands/hour, the overall effect is more raked-hands per hour than the full tables. But I have no idea since I don't play much short-handed. |

There goes that plan
Seemed like every pot was getting at least .10 rake last time I played NL $25, with the lower required pot size it seemed like it would be perfect for the bonanza or reloads, but I never kept track of it. Thanks for the info. |

Thanks for the info. [/ QUOTE ] Well, the NL25 and NL100 figures are second-hand, since I didn't have any recent hands of my own logged at those limits. You might want to check your own stats for NL25 to make sure. Its possible the person who posted these stats for me (in SSNL forum) was going by an older rake structure, if it has recently changed. An hour or two should give you a pretty good sample size, assuming you are using pokertracker or something similar to track your play. |
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
If I had rakeback on Party, I'd be on this in a second.
|
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
Yeah, I have very similar stats (all 6 max)
NL 25 - 48% NL 50 - 70% NL 100 - 84% |
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
Yes, because no 5/10er will play 9 hours straight for a measly $200.

Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
Maybe this is why there are still over 50k players on Party right now....5am EST
|
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
I take that back....must have been a glitch in the matrix.
Back to normal...17k at 5:25am est. |
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
How do I check my raked hand standing?

Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
Go to "news & events" > August Bonanza
<---- Currently ranked 43rd. |
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
Well with a half hour to go I was 20th, but the "winners" link isn't working so I don't know if I finished that way or not. Haven't slept in 36 hours ... this was a horrible idea. I fell asleep playing at least 20 times.
If anyone figures it out, my sn is "Grey_" on party. I must now sleep the sleep of the dead. |
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
I was in the top 50 at the last update, winners list isnt on and havent been paid.....

Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
You pulled off 20th. Congratulations.
The winner's page isn't working for me either, but they're scrolling the winnner across the top of the main PP client window. |
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
thank god that's over. I want my 200
edit: paid |
HIJACK
HIJACK
Me and a friend made a $ prop bet that he could NOT place in the top 20 playing SOLELY .50/1 limit 6-max. He got no odds on the bet. How are my chances? |
Re: HIJACK
at about 60% raked (if that's what it is) I think he can do it IF he 4-tables the entire time obviously.
I think it's very close to being a toss-up. not that many people outside the 2+2 universe can 4-table the 6-max. congrats to grey for making it....but there's no way this thing is worthwhile unless you were already planning on playing during most of those hours anyway. |
Re: HIJACK
I don't think it's possible even if he pulls a 24 hour 4 tabling 6 max and shits in a jam jar, i reckon hes still about 5-1 to do it.

Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
So, how many raked hands were required for top 20?
|
Re: Party \"August Bonanza\" this week (not same as the reload)
It's only a 9-hour contest. something like 2700 hands.
