If you think someone is a bot?

What should you do if you think someone is a bot? They act instantly every hand, no matter what, and act verrrry mechanically. What should I do, report the name to Partypoker?

Re: If you think someone is a bot?

Ask them if they are first. If the say yes then they are not a bot. If they say no they might be a bot.

A few weeks ago there was an observer that asked me to solve some silly math problem and then asked me who the President was. I had no clue what was wrong with that guy until just now.

I wouldn't upset him. He may be programmed to kill all humans.

if someone asks you "are you a bot?" the correct response is always:

"ERROR: RESPONSE #4572 NOT FOUND"

I play $50 no limit. Its just he acts almost before its his turn, every time. No time for thought whatsoever.

I've never heard of a bot that plays no limit. That would be much harder to design than a limit bot.

Re: If you think someone is a bot?

ouch, thats exactly the limit that robots target...word on the street is that 92% of the players there are robots...just a heads up bud. I have actually started an organization to destroy the robot tyranny that has swept our great nations. We must be strong though, mothers have lost sons and women have become widows, but we will prevail, and good will triump over robots!

Does not compute.

No, don't report him (it). Chances are he (it) plays terrible.

Sounds like the way I play after my third beer. Or after the third time for the evening that I've had AA cracked by J7o. Actually those usually come around the same time.

Seriously, though, is there any way for me to tell that *I* am not a bot? I can't quite say why, but sometimes there seems to be something not quite........... human about me. And not Klingon either.

Any really bot detection software out there that might help?

thanks,

Shauna

I have been asked on occasion if I am a bot. I always reply: '10010101010'

Using a short-stacked strategy, a NL bot is far easier to design. Easier still is to design the bot to respond in a random amount of time.

Re: If you think someone is a bot?

Since you've gotten really no answers for why he plays this way so I'll try.

1) he's a multitabler
2) chat's turned off
3) he's using the preselected actions (see multi-tables)
4) he's playing ABC poker (see multi-tables)
5) he's a multitabler who's out to make $$ not friendly chit chat. His 4 tables on Party and 2-12 other tables make chit chat a time and thus money waster.
