Detroit sucks ass, but I'm also not a big fan of Phoenix or New Orleans. I haven't been to Buffalo or Suckasack (sp?) New Jersey.

The worst areas of those cities are worse than anything in Buffalo, but they're also big enough to have at least something good going for them. OP is right, Buffalo is awful.
