PartyMine source code and full rights for sale.
 

I am contemplating the selling of PartyMine. I just don't think down the road I will have the time and effort to develop and sell the product and do it justice.

Therefore I am taking offers from any developers out there or from anyone actually that wants to buy the full rights to all the source code (basically I will sell everything todate that I have worked on).

I had an offer several months ago for $3000 that I turned down at the time. If that gives a decent starting point.

What does this mean for the future of PartyMine? When my beta expires, is that it until someone purchase this from you?

seems that way, to bad, i thought it would be easy to keep updated, maybe the author feels party will ban the software also in the future?

I for one would be pretty upset if he didn't release an unlimited version of at least what exists given that I just donated. Would be kind of a chop move IMHO.

No thats not it at all. If that was the case I would of sold it when I was offered the money two months ago.

I just am very busy with my job and other stuff, that I don't have the time to put out releases in a timely manner that have any significant content.

I already have people requesting more and more features all the time.

I just feel someone else that does have time could make it bigger, better and make alot more money than I ever could with it.

there may be a 2+2er who is willing to improve it himself/herself but who doesn't want to shell out the $$ -- if you don't get any takers, why don't you license the source code to someone else who has more time and possibly even a royalty arrangement -- I'd do it if I knew Java. I would suspect that that may be more lucrative than selling the code outright. I'd be happy to work up a simple license/royalty agreement if you'd like (I do THAT for a living [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]).

I thought about that, and if no decent offers come in, I will probably try to go that route.

Then slowly overtime add features.

I wonder if the person/people who offered you $3k for it is the same that offered me $3k for PA Hud before it was PA Hud.

I was considering it, but I'm glad they backed out, seeing how far PA Hud has come from those early versions.

This is not quite on topic and it might have already been discussed.

Would it be easy for you, or whoever buys the code, to add functionality into this program that keeps a certain number of SNGs open. In other words, can you make it buy in to more SNGs as you finish with others?

You must be a perfectionist. Your beta is good eough to sell. I will be more than happy to purchase it for like 20 or 30 bucks.
