I was being an [censored] today in a sit n go by letting the time clock expire every time before making a move. About half the table is telling me what a lowlife I am, when one of them says "I think he's the guy that mops up the porno theatre". Which got me thinking....

From what I've heard those guys make decent money, get benefits and it's just like sitting around on your ass all day listening to music and often times you get a guy you get to talk to in the same booth.

I dont know about other states, but in NH, the toll collectors start at $8.50 an hour, which I wouldnt exactly call good money.

I notice many of your posts simply state to the OP that the thread has been done "many times". Maybe it just means that you, who has over 13,500+ posts on here since only a year ago, spend way to much time on this forum.

It's the dumbest, most boring job there is. I don't give a flying [censored] how much they make, but it's definitely not a lot. Also they end up with huge health problems because they breathe exhaust all day long.

A while back, a friend of mine had a research position at the UC Davis vet school large animal clinic. part of the duties involved reching his hand up the nether regions of cows and bulls. not sure why, and I don't want to know.

I was watching a television show awhile ago about strange jobs, and one of the guys on the show had the worst job I can possibly imagine. He was a "diver" at a waste treatment plant. They had these huge vats of human waste that were being treated before being flushed back out to the system. Every so often the tank would need repairs from the inside, or a pipe would get clogged, or what have you, and this guy would have to thrown on a wet suit and dive into the human waste to do his work.

I worked in retail for 7 years. Some days being paid to swim around in human waste would have seemed like a treat.

I knew a guy who worked for the agriculture department (DPI in Australia), part of his job was to go around collecting semen samples from bulls and pigs. You basically wait until they're mounting a female and stick a cup over as they blow their load.
