BB defend and I go passive.
No reads, just sat down. I was planning to call the river if he bet.

Re: BB defend and I go passive.
I highly suggest raising the turn. He is probably drawing to 7 outs and you want to make him pay.

Makes sense.

Makes sense. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry it's a bit results oriented since he checked the river. He could easily have AK, AQ, AA, KK, etc...but his range is probably so large that you should either bet the river (I doubt he raises since the flush came) or pop the turn. Raises 6-handed usually mean Ax with the X being anywhere between 6 and K, or a mid PP. |
Re: BB defend and I go passive.
Going off a combination of the short handed chart and my own thoughts, are you sure this is a blind defense and not a loose preflop call?

Re: BB defend and I go passive.
Looks fine if you think he's willing to steal liberally. Check raising the flop only puts in extra money when you have the worst hand, while check calling lets him bluff into you with continuation steal attempts.

Re: BB defend and I go passive.
I'm loose in the BB and I fold this preflop.
I'd bet the river. |
Re: BB defend and I go passive.
Ok, The more I think about this the worse it is. I understand that I am over defending.

Re: BB defend and I go passive.
Preflop call aside, the rest of the hand seems standard if you think it is probably he has a K or better Q.

Re: BB defend and I go passive.
There's a pretty substantial difference between a 6-handed full table and 6-max though as far as player aggression in general.

[/ QUOTE ] Agreed, real 6-max is far more aggressive. most full ring players don't adjust. I forget to adjust sometimes when multitabling and I don't even realize the game has gone short. |
