Caesar\'s IN 10-20 (thinly veiled brag post)

Somtetimes the 10-20 at Caesar's In is a murderer's row and you better be ready for a really tough game and sometimes, it is like today. Eight or ten to the flop and maybe only six if it gets raised UTG. Four or five when it is a kill pot and chasing right on down to the river.

The 10-20 was looser today than the 4-8 at Belterra Friday night. All my favorite terrible players were there, two WSOP wannabe's and two young guys that are decent players but it was their night to get bruitilized by the river.

I will be the first to admit, that I can't beat it when its murderer's row but poker is fun when it is squishy soft like today.

well done.
(weren't you swearing off the 10/20 with kill game for a little while?? oh well....i change my mind on such things too)

10/20 with a kill is not quite out of my radar...but it is testing my typical 'comfort-zone' even with bad players.

if you're going to only 'thinly veil' your brag post you might as well at least tell us how much you won. c'mon dude.
you're keeping the info private so you can fool the IRS or something??

$975 in four hours. I had to go meet the In-laws for a family dinner. I should have stayed, it might be a long time before the 10-20 is that squishy soft again.

I swore off playing against good players, I reserve the right to jump in sop up the gravy and leave.

vn Steam.

I haven't been up to Caesars since before WSOP. Been making some decent coin playing 30 dollar 3 table SNGs on Party as well as trying to win some Tournament $$$ on Stars (an odd niche I know).

I may try to make a run up next weekend. You up for going?

I have been going to Belterra on Fridays but I am not married to it, I'll go to Caesar's anytime you want.

Very nice.

The 15/30 at Canterbury is much the same. When it's bad, there's no point. When it's good, it plays like a 4/8 table. Sadly, I'm underrolled at the moment for the 15/30.

I recommend hitting a bad beat jackpot, then you can play whatever you want.

you guys coming for WSOP-circuit in Tunica in August at all?

Begins Aug 12 I think. I get back to town from a quick, little vacation on Aug 13 and might play in a $500 event or two.

Obviously you get your own circuit event up there a couple months later...but this is good preparation!!!!

I suck at tourneys.

the ring-games during tourney-time are insanely juicy.

(p.s. - get better at tourneys)

Re: Caesar\'s IN 10-20 (thinly veiled brag post)

I actually cashed in a couple of cheap tourneys on Carribean sun this weekend. a most unusual circumstance.

I like tourneys, they are fun but I don't have a good understanding of how to play them.

I either bust out early or get to the bubble broke. I have both HOH and I have read the first but not the second.

Tourneys are definetely +EV but not if you suck. I need to unsuck ASAP because Caesar's is getting serious about tourneys and winning won big one would be life changing.

I've been thinking about playing the 10-20 next time I go down there instead of 5-10. I've played with a few terrible players at 5-10 who were waiting for a seat at 10-20. I'm pretty sure that I could beat that game, but I'm still a little nervous about playing for that much money. But moving up is always a little intimidating. Posts like this encourage me though. I've never actually played against anyone down there that I would call a "good" player and dont suspect that would change too much at 10-20.

Re: Caesar\'s IN 10-20 (thinly veiled brag post)

Like most answers to questions about poker, it depends, sometimes the game is tight and very aggressive. Three or four maximum to the flop and no limping allowed.

Then there are days like Sunday when the sun is shining and life is good.

What can you tell me about the two young African Americans in the 10 game I see there everytime I go. They are both very loud and act like they are the best players on the boat. Are they really as good as they act? Last time I was there, they got into an arguement with each other and ended up playing HU 15-30.

I haven't been to Caesar's in a while, when did they add a kill to this game?

steamboatin 08-01-2005 05:41 PM

Re: Caesar\'s IN 10-20 (thinly veiled brag post)

I have only played against them once so I can't really say. I wasn't impressed but one short session isn't enough to make a firm decision about a player.

Re: Caesar\'s IN 10-20 (thinly veiled brag post)

Same time they dropped the 3-6, went back to spreading 4-8 and added 2-4, maybe three or four weeks ago.

Thanks steamboatin, and by the way, that's a nice little winner you booked there.

Re: Caesar\'s IN 10-20 (thinly veiled brag post)

you should be aware that there is more money riding on the game then just a 'regular' 10/20 game.
it's a 10/20 game WITH kill so that changes things (although I don't know if it's always with a kill).

steamboatin 08-02-2005 07:50 AM

Re: Caesar\'s IN 10-20 (thinly veiled brag post)

Yes, it is supposed to have a kill. When they stopped spreading 3-6 and made a few other changes, they added a kill to the 10-20.
