serious or lagfest? [/ QUOTE ] That's basically the same thing for me. I'm in, and I'm doing both. |

serious or lagfest? [/ QUOTE ] Why does everyone ask this? Just play poker baby.....I am playing to get the chips.... |
Re: 2+2 Table NOW!>!>!>!>!>!>!
I don't see why people get so hung up on it having to be one or the other. Might as well just let people play how they want. I can't stand the whiners who say everyone is "cheating." Yeah, and Party is rigged.
Plus we all know the single most satisfying poker experience is sucking out with absoulute garbage against someone who's playing "serious." So let 'em play all serious. Boohoo. |
Re: 2+2 Table NOW!>!>!>!>!>!>!
asking cause I enjoyed our game earlier where we were discussing our hands and what might have been a better play. Not just everyone bettin and raising for the hell of it... Thats why

Re: 2+2 Table NOW!>!>!>!>!>!>!
Meh, just reminds me how much I suck at 6-max until it filled up. Had one good hand, recognized someones WA/WB line and reraised my AK on the end, so alls good, got some goot experience.

[ QUOTE ] I don't see why people get so hung up on it having to be one or the other. [/ QUOTE ] Because lagfests suck for people whose bankroll is tight. [/ QUOTE ] I've often thought that it would be fun to have a 2+2 table at some nano-limit so that more people (like me!) could participate. This would have the added benefit that many low limits are not raked (e.g. Paradise .05/.1; I'm sure there's some Stars equivalent too). Personally since I mostly play 1/2, the swings at a 2+2 table do make a noticeable difference to my bankroll. I'm sure I can't be the only micro poster to feel that way. Maybe I'll try to start a nano table sometime when I'm less sleepy and see how well that works out |
Re: 2+2 Table NOW!>!>!>!>!>!>!
If you're up for it, I'll do a nanos table at Stars.
Edit: Just let me pour myself another drink... |
Re: 2+2 Table NOW!>!>!>!>!>!>!
I'll do nano-limit at Stars as well.

Re: 2+2 Table NOW!>!>!>!>!>!>!
Table set. See other thread. And then beware when a wookie plays at limits two orders of magnitude below normal.

Re: 2+2 Table NOW!>!>!>!>!>!>!
I was very LAGgy.
But I have one substantive poker thought related to the play on this table: If you are in the SB and facing a raise from one player and one player only (i.e. an open raise and folded to the SB) whether a steal or an UTG raise, if you choose to play your hand, you should be 3-betting. Calling a raise as first caller in the SB should be so rare that you would not be making a mistake to strike it from your game. By just calling a raise you offer the BB 5:1 odds to call (OK to call a huge range of hands) and now you have 2 opponents with position on you and you're acting first in each post-flop round. If your hand is good enough to call a riase as first in, it is good enough to 3-bet -- don't ever open the welcome mat for the BB by just calling a raise in the SB. |
