Party disconnects -- still occuring?

I took all of my money out of the Party skins last night until they fixed their problem with disconnections. Can anyone confirm that (since last night's fiasco) there has been some kind of fix for the disconnects?

thanks

Re: Party disconnects -- still occuring?

Absolutely not. They have made no changes and if anything the problem is worse today than ever. The games are unplayable. I got a half hr in today only and couldnt stand to continue.

Re: Party disconnects -- still occuring?

I had the same old problems as before. Thought they fixed it last night, but guess that was an unrelated problem.

Re: Party disconnects -- still occuring?

Is it problems with them? I emailed them, here's what I got:

If you are facing frequent disconnections while playing then we are sorry to note that you have been facing inconvenience due to Internet delays. Internet Delays or Internet Disconnections could be due to various reasons, none of which can be influenced by us, like the number of Internet gateways that fall in between our site and your system (more number slows down the process, if any of these intermediate servers are slow, the transmission to your system will also slow down causing Internet Delays or Internet Disconnections), your connection bandwidth, configuration of your system, the number of applications you run simultaneously that access Internet, the amount of available memory space on your system etc.

If you have a dial up connection, which is the minimum requirement, you may wish to upgrade to a cable or a fixed line Internet connection that will minimize the chances of disconnections or you may wish to get in touch with your Internet Service Provider for further assistance.

Note: Please do not disclose your password to any individual/organization claiming to represent us. We will never ask you for the password to your account. If you receive any email or phone call from anyone requesting you to provide your password please report it to us immediately.

I've disconnected at 4 different tables within an hour of play.

Just logged off Empire because it was now worse than it's ever been, for me at least. I've sent three e-mails with no response. However, from the responses they are giving others, they do not appear ready to do anything about this. Keep bombarding them with e-mails, is the only thing I can think of to do, other than playing elsewhere.

Oh ... internet delays which they have no control over, eh?

THEN WHY THE [censored] DOES THE WHOLE [censored] TABLE GET SAT OUT IF ITS OUR PROBLEM?

Re: Party disconnects -- still occuring?

All I know is I'm playing on half a dozen different sites everyday and Party network is the only one I'm having problems with. So if they keep claiming its my ISP I guess I have no choice but to take them off my list of playable sites.

Maybe since they have to answer to their shareholders, it's better to deny they have a problem so investors don't get upset or worried. I don't know. They don't seem to care about giving honest answers to their player base.

The truth is someone tried to blackmail them, they didn't pay and now a denial of service attack is going on, party must have a policy of cover up which is a mistake.

CORed 07-21-2005 08:59 PM

Re: Party disconnects -- still occuring?

Two possibilities: Everyone who plays on Party is suddenly suffering from bad internet service, that only causes one table out of four to disconnect, or Party has a problem, and is lying about it. I'm guessing that it's the second possibility.

Do you see why? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

CORed 07-21-2005 09:01 PM

Re: Party disconnects -- still occuring?

Earlier this week, I was playing four tables, and two were working, and two were disconnecting simultaneously. Obviously the problem is on their end.

Problem is bad on Euronet. Could only play about 100 hands, and had it bomb on me when I had KK one time. Time to go and sign up for a bonus somewhere.

Tonight Party not only disconnected me from a table but actually closed the table. I don't know if it's busted software or server problems but that pretty much sucked.

Disconnected me just now (9:20 pm PST) with just one table open.

I used to play on just party, and it was never a problem.

Moved over to eurobet for rakeback deal, now it happens all the time. It often happens at one table while another I'm playing is fine.

I have cable internet.

Partypoker has [censored] the bed.

I just want to finish their bonus so I can finish the Stars honus and be back to a fully-functioning multipoker before I freaking play full time for the first two weeks of freaking August.

Frustrated!

I can only play 1 table at each site (Party and Eurobet). . anymore than that and they constantly disconnect. Annoying forsure as this is been happening to me since monday.

Same problems as all. I just had a set of K's get busted because I couldnt raise or bet and they drew out on me with a runner runner straight. After that I signed off and stopped playing. Getting frustrating cause I only play on Party. Time to signup somewhere else.

This is why I put all my money at Stars and am clearing their bonus. No RB sucks, but maybe the Crypto's will get flooded. No way are there as many people on there playing as it says there are. When they switch over to doing HONEST business, then I'll go back.

I will not be returning to play on the PartyGaming network until some sort of "courtesy" email or phone call is made in regards to the current disconnection problems. PLEASE do not turn around and say "it's not on our end; check w/ your ISP provider" because this is a WIDESPREAD problem that has effected MANY of your players. I as well as others want to have a sense of security at the poker site(s) we play at and communicating with us as is ESSENTIAL in providing security for your players.

[/ QUOTE ]

Unfortunately I sent this the night of the big crash, so all I got for return emails was the standard tournament buy-ins (which I don't even play).

Here's what's insane: they HAVE to be losing TONS (maybe millions, but probably mid-high hundreds of thousands) of money durring this. People are seeing a significantly LESS amount of hands due to this problem. Toss in the handfull of people that are wising up and jumping ship. Yeah. Way to go, PartyGaming!

I hope it gets fixed and I HOPE that this is a hacker hijack that they can't make public for whatever reason. Since the latter theory is the only one I can conceive of as to why they would continue to deny that they have a problem, my money's outta there.

What's sad is that I'm sure there are people out there, especially those who are new to online poker, who will decide that this is the way things go online and quit playing entirely rather than trying other sites. This is bad for all of us.
