Did you try using the change screen name feature on euro? My original name was 5 letters but it can go up to 20 when you change it, see below.

Please select a new Screen Name. Your Screen Name cannot contain more than 20 characters and may include letters, numbers and "_" only.

Weird, but once you change you cant change again for 6 months. I might need to change for some reason...so I'll wait until that day arrives..
