Mechanics of Stud--fourth street

Let's say I'm in a pot on fourth street and second to act in a $2-$4 stud game. The first to play has an open pair and he bets $4. If I'm strong enough to raise, what am I allowed to raise it to, $6 or $8?

Re: Mechanics of Stud--fourth street

you can raise it to 8

Re: Mechanics of Stud--fourth street

If he makes the double bet of $4, then you in turn must make a double size raise of $4 if you wish to raise. If he bet the single bet of $2 then you would have the option to raise to $6 or $8.

Just to add a little more. Lets say the open pair bets 2..Then your options are to either raise it to 4 or 6, which ever you prefer.

Re: Mechanics of Stud--fourth street

Mike wouldn't it actaully be 4 or 6. Not 6 and 8 if they guy bet 2? The choices are a raise of 2 or 4.

I made a $100 wager on him getting 300-1 at sports.com before it started. I have $4 on "the mouth" also at 1250-1. Root on Ivey, Jon.

with wagers this worthless there is no point wasting your time watching WSOP updates.

To save you some time I'm willing to buy both of these bets off of you.

I'll give you $200 for the Ivey bet and $10 for Mike M. Think about it.....210 bucks would feel real nice in your pocket right now. And you'd always have the satisfaction of knowing you made a profit on both of your bets.

This is a limited time offer, you have till 9:15 to deal
