Of course, play doesn't actually start for another 15 hours.

Considering how this thread is starting, I don't think it's going to survive.

I'd leave it, what is the difference if you wake up and starting reading from page 1 or 100?

Nobody is forced to read it all.

I wouldn't answer any of them, because obviously making it this far is quite nice already. Yes, that includes Matusow.

I'm sure you would have seen a lot more of what you are talking about if Raymer had gone out on Day 1.

Bill Murphy 07-14-2005 05:12 AM

Matusow Got a great seat draw

While Greg got the worst. I would not be surprised to see Minh Ly BBQ his table, but at this point its at least 80% cards.

Dynasty seemed to disagree with this idea in the other thread. I don't know most of these people, so It's hard for me to say.
But I do notice that Matusow is in between two fairly large stacks, while Raymer is in between somewhat smaller stacks.

Bill Murphy 07-14-2005 05:24 AM

Re: Matusow Got a great seat draw

The mere fact Ivey is there makes it a bad draw. Mouth has position on the next biggest stack, a young Stars qfier IIRC. Ly also has position on Dannenman. But again I never heard of anyone other than the big 4.

Yeah, it would be great for poker if an absolute amateur to won it. It would give many other amateurs hope and probably bring a lot more people to the game, since "any amateur can win". I am definitely rooting for the amateurs.

As for the pros, I am rooting for our own "Fossilman" of 2+2 fame. But, I wouldn't mind seeing Ivey win it either. I think Ivey might be a good spokesman for poker, kinda like Tiger Woods and golf, beating old, rich white men at their own game. lol

Anyone complaining about you posting this is just an A-hole, or they are whinning because they planned on posting the standings (i.e they are a hypocrite and an A-Hole).

I wanted to know the standings and as soon as I got to work this morning I went looking for this thread -- so I appreciate your efforts, thanks.

Wow, can't believe the lines they're giving at pinnacle. +174 for Raymer is a great bet IMO. Matusow over Ivey at +128 is quite nice too. I mean, how could the chip leader, and a well-known professional, get +128 against ANYBODY?

Mike Matusow Question

I gotta wonder, since joining team FTP, did this guy take some lessons or something? Is this the same guy we saw crying in a crumpled heap?

Honestly, any word on why and/or if his game is really turned around?

I'm not too familiar with sports-type betting, how much would you make in return if that does happen?

Re: Mike Matusow Question

Umm.. Mike Matusow has been a great, well-known, and well-respected professional poker player long before that "incident" at the WSOP last year.

He wears his emotions on his sleeve, and is bit of a class clown, but he's always been a great poker player and has very few (if any!) enemies in the poker world.

The table draw is kinda bad for Phil & Greg, and good for Mike and Minh.

But Greg has position on Phil (yay), though I wonder how many open raises Phil will be making from the CO

[/ QUOTE ]

Matusow is "+128" over Ivey. So, if I win, my $50 bet will get me $64. However, there may be some betting fee that I don't know about.

This is the first prop bet I've ever made. I Just opened a Pinnacle account after I read the post above and funded it out of my Neteller account. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out what the "risk" and "to win" radio buttons meant. If you click the "risk" button, you are "risking" your bet (I'm risking $50 to win $64). If you click the "to win" button, Pinnacle will figure your wager so that you "win" that amount if the bet goes in your favor.

I figure this isn't too bad of a bet since Matusow currently has the chip lead.

Edit: Also, Matusow is also at a better table than Ivey. Matusow has a $5M stack while the next biggest stack at his table is $3M. Ivey has $4.5M and there are 3 other players with $3M+ at his table.

GO 'MOUTH'!

[/ QUOTE ]

I could see this line. Matusow is a big-time tilter. The question here is whether Ivey will lose a huge chunk of his stack when he recklessly moves in with AQ before Matusow implodes. I'd put it at even money, so +128 seems somewhat favorable. I think that neither of these guys takes the whole enchilada. Raymer seems to be the most well adjusted of the three and less prone to tilt. I want to see Matusow get close and then lose it in his typical fashion. The aftermath will be pure hilarity--way better than Hellmuth crying on his mommy's shoulder.

Agreed yesterday. Strongly disagree today. Have you looked at the counts 6 people are basically dead considering blinds and antes at this point and Ivey is second in chips. No way it is bad today. I acutally think its about right today where yesterday should have been 12-1.....
