so you're giving away money instead? yeah, that's a great idea.

seriously, though, it's a bad idea. if you really want to do that, do it in MP2 or something where your position makes up for it a bit.

You don't lose that much in the long run (you win some of the pots you know), you lose more if you give away a tight image and lose bets because of that (players tighten up against you).

No. It's about hand #2.

Edit: And while I'm at it, cold calling w/ 99 was pretty bad, too.

Re: Crazy $1/2 session (9 hands total)

#2. I play pretty much by SSH. When playing at a new table we should start with hands as if the game is loose until otherwise is proved.

About cold calling w/ 99, yeah I know, I thought about re-raising to protect my hand, but I decided to call and try to get lucky, which I did.

MrWookie47 07-10-2005 08:27 PM

Re: Crazy $1/2 session (9 hands total)

Playing by the SSH preflop hand chart for 6max play is definitely bad.

hagel666 07-10-2005 08:29 PM

Re: Crazy $1/2 session (9 hands total)

Not great, not a big mistake either. CO could have raised a flushdraw and completed it at the turn (or maybe BB), turn was definetely a scare card.

hagel666 07-10-2005 08:30 PM

Re: Crazy $1/2 session (9 hands total)

6max? It was 10-handed.

Re: Crazy $1/2 session (9 hands total)

Maybe, but there are a lot more hands that he would play the same that you beat. Raise it up.

Re: Crazy $1/2 session (9 hands total)

Crap, I'm sorry dude. There have been so many 6 max hands here lately that I read "1/2" and my brain filled in "6 max."

I'm still not crazy about the open limp 8 handed, but it's not as bad as I thought it was.

It would be better if you replied in the right "reply-chain" but I guess you could reply here too

Btw, I don't think there is a big difference between 8-handed and 10-handed UTG. I still think limp is ok with A7s.

if you're not posting in MP2 or later, then yes, perceptive players would think that.

I don't think posting UTG+1 will hurt your image much (if they are even paying attention), save yourself the big blind

I think making this post exposes several holes in yr game. Here are a few things you did wrong I wanted to flag:

Fold the BB when its raised and you have T8o.

Don't cold call an open raise by CO on the button. Reraise or fold. If CO is the blind stealing type, reraise. If I have 99 against a naughty little blind stealer, I 3 bet his ass.

NEVER open limp from the button. With any hand. Especially not with crap like Q9o. A raise here is okay if the blind are tight.

You really need to work on yr preflop play.

lol, when did I play Q9o? Would never do it.

About protecting the blind with T8o, thought about that but I had 1 to 7 on my call, so I made a loose call.

Btw, I didn't want to flag anything, I had a good run and felt like posting it. I guess that was a mistake at this hostile forum.

Sorry, but I don't see why. Because I respond? Is that enough to be mocked?

I know of all parts of the session that I didn't play optimally, that wasn't the case here, I just thought it was fun to post such a incredible 9-hand session regardless of some minor mistakes.

Everybody seems to have missed my point, which you see in my first post: "...crazy or what?" Which means crazy to win 4 out of 9 hands in only 8 minutes of play.

No, you missed Mr. Wookie's point. (Did you even bother to click the link??) Posts like this are a dime a dozen and they clutter up an already jammed board, pushing valuable posts to the bottom before people have time to read them.

If you really want to share this fun hot-streak, fine - do it in the appropriate venue. Creating a new thread for this garbage is disrespectful to everyone's time.

You are not a special little snowflake, and no one gives a crap about your good luck. If you find that too harsh, I really could care less. This board is for everyone, and it's hard enough to separate the wheat from the chaff already.

Time for me to care less.

You write "If you really want to share this fun hot-streak, fine - do it in the appropriate venue. Creating a new thread for this garbage is disrespectful to everyone's time."

Well, f-off, I don't live in this thread, how the hell should I know if there is special "venues" and that the post where disrespectful as you state it?

I checked the sticky "Microlimit Guidelines/FAQ v1.0" before posting, maybe I missed your venues or whatever, but I saw no comments about topics like this.

And I'm sorry, I thougt it was funnier people here, but I guess I was wrong. I started the post with a and ended it with a "funny" question (not laugh-funny).

Bye.
