47BB 2/4

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Flop: (13 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 players)

Turn: (14 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, UTG+2 raises, MP2 calls, Hero 3-bets, Button calls, SB caps, UTG+2 calls, MP2 calls, Hero calls, Button calls.

River: (34 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)

Final Pot: 47 BB

UTG+2 said he had the nutstraight. obviously he was in a better position to fold than I was, caught between the two raisers. do you call the bets on the river, even though you KNOW at least one of them has the boat? if you think it's not correct to call on the river, which is worse, the first or second call? they both had K9

I play this hand the same way you did. If any of the calls are wrong its the 1st there is no way your folding for 2 more bets in this enormous pot when you already put in 2.

Just noticed that, cold calling with JTs, I don't know about all that.

If you KNOW, it would pretty foolish to call wouldn't it?

Flop: Would you consider capping the flop yourself for value?

How on earth are you calling two cold with JTs?

Re: 47BB 2/4

if you call its gonna be atleast 4handed, if the blinds come along it makes for perfect conditions for a hand like JTs

Cuz its going to be a big multiway pot and your hand plays well in a big multiway pot.

Oh yeah, fold this preflop. Anyway, there's no way you can reasonably fold postflop.

precisely what ate me at the time. and why i posted. i've only read about people laying down big hands in huge pots.

i did consider 3-beting the flop first time it came around to me, i thought (without having the time or presence to do the maths) that it was already a very big pot, going for overcalls, trying to catch the card cheaply. SB leading out i figgered a weak Q or 9.

on the pf-call:
i did have to stop a sec. to think about the cold-call, figgered to have at least 4 to see the flop for a pot at ~10SB

i didn't get the right code, but the pot is:
13SB
14BB
34BB
47BB

what strikes me as odd is the BBs preflop fold.

Re: 47BB 2/4

Fold preflop if u hate money.

On the flop, 3-bet for possible value and to maybe get a free card on the turn (but with a ton of callers, u might have a value bet on the turn), obviously with this turn...go insane. Suck river.

Its probably going to get capped so you're getting about 11:1. Man it'd be tough...you are definitly/most likely beat...you probably have to call, but I doubt u are good even 8 percent of the time. Who knows. Probably call...anyone who says fold is probably going to get flamed.

I think the CC PFlop is fine. The turn yeah maybe 3-bet, but I cant see why you didn't raise the turn, the pot was huge, as for the river call for two more, it hurts but I'd do it unless youre SURE sure.
