Daniel\'s metrosexual adventures continue....

from his blog...

First stop: DKNY

Refined Fit Black Dress Shirt: $145.00
Refined Fit White Dress Shirt: $145.00
Topstitch Detail Black: $99.99
L-S Crewneck Black: $99.99
Zipper Waistband Pant Cream: $89.99
Soho Pant Blue: $119.99
Soho Pant Black: $129.99

Total damage with tax: $892.20

From there I moved on and hit the Armani Exchange:

Zip Crew Orange T-Shirt: $29.00
Zip Crew Baby Blue T-Shirt: $29.00
Zip Crew Green T-Shirt: $29.00

Total damage with tax: $93.53

Continuing on to my next stop Polo Ralph Lauren:

Half Zip Orange Top: $134.99
Sports Shirt Pink: $114.99
Sports Shirt Purple: $114.99
Sports Shirt Blue: $114.99
Sports Shirt Striped Pink: $114.99

Total damage with tax: $639.57

Right across from the Polo store was the Emporio Armani where I often shop:

Black Dress Pants: $248.00
Loose Fit Black Dress Pants: $248.00

Total damage with tax and rush tailoring: $576.20

By now I was carrying around a heavy load along with my knapsack full of my mother's lunch, but decided to take a quick look into the Guess store:

Hipster Boot cut Jeans: $109.00
Guess Belt: $34.00
Zip up Mock Baby Blue: $79.00

Total damage with tax: $238.66

My feet were really starting to hurt by this point which reminded me... I didn't buy any shoes! So, on the way back to the car I stopped in at Louis Vitton to get some casual shoes to go with a lot of the stuff I bought:

Venice Sneakers Brown: $515.00

Total Damage with tax: $553.63

Throw in a $5 tip for the valet dude and the whole spree cost me $2998.79. I think my choices would have made Stacey and Clinton proud (you won't get that if you don't watch What Not to Wear on TLC).

So why in the world did I share all that? I have no clue, lol. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

His posts are entertaining but they are getting weirder and weirder.

You know, I'm not a huge shopper, but I have enjoyed spoiling myself a couple times. Certianly nothing like Daniel's spree, but I don't think shopping like that would make someone gay. However, this seems a bit suspicious.

This younger generation is too lazy to do anything for themselves.

I dunno, the part I find the funniest is that he drops a few large shopping and then tips the valet guy a whooping 5 bucks.

$100 shirts? That's insane. Maybe it's because I'm cheap or something.. I don't own anything other than T Shirts and sweatshirts. And $5 for a dude driving your car for 40 seconds is plenty. Especially since it's DNs, doesn't he drive a Lamborghini or a Benz or something?

In kind of his defense, expensive shirts are much better than cheap shirts. However, I think he was just writing up this crap to show what a big rich man he is to impress people on the internet.

first, why was he carrying around his mothers lunch while he shopped, for what had to be hours?

second, where are the troubled gay prostitutes?

Re: Daniel\'s metrosexual adventures continue....

I'm not saying they won't look nice, I'm just saying over $100 for a single shirt is insane to me. I doubt he's doing it for dick waving, we all know he's rich. He posts that he acts lazy and plays video games all day, too, nothing impressive with that. I think he's just documenting everything he does throughout the week.. nothing more, nothing less.

Re: Daniel\'s metrosexual adventures continue....

Yes.

I don't find that shopping list at all surprising (well I would have spent more in AE and less in Polo, but that's just me). And less than $3K in clothes for someone who plays $500K headsup matches doesn't seem like much. I mean that's less than one big bet in the big game, right? Would you spend one big bet in the limits you play on clothes now and then?

Besides, clothes are expensive. Nice clothes are more expensive. Many people feel better in nice clothes. That's probably slightly +EV for the ME.

DN is also a brand the same way Phil H or Antonio or Doyle is and for DN to maximize his take from his poker celebrity it helps if he looks nice since he isn't a magician or the "John MacEnroe of poker" or the "Tiger Woods of poker".

Trust me, it is extremely unlikely that Dan N is gay. His behavious is consistent with any heterosexual eastern canadian.
