Tough AK hand, 3/6 NL party.. suggestions?
Should I push or should I fold after he reraises me? Or just call?

Re: Tough AK hand, 3/6 NL party.. suggestions?
I like check calling alot more than check raising, but I like leading best of all.

Re: Tough AK hand, 3/6 NL party.. suggestions?
Can you give me some reasoning behind your lines? I just dont see why youd want to lead or check-call.
If you lead, and he raises, then what? Your back to where you are at this hand. If you check-call, what happens when he bets the turn for a larger amount? |
Re: Tough AK hand, 3/6 NL party.. suggestions?
i think you should have check-raised a little bit more. this would give you a better idea where you are in the hand. maybe 95-100 total.

I would go all-in. I think he has KQ or KJ.

It is possible that he has AK here as well or better. Without any reads on him, I would be leaning more towards a fold as you're probably either behind or will be splitting the pot here. - ZeroHour |
Re: Tough AK hand, 3/6 NL party.. suggestions?
the fact that you hold the ace of spades and the kind of spades is out there make it very unlikely your against a flush draw, so you are either against two aces, ace king, kings or some wacky set, given the stack sizes I would fold

Move all in and split the pot as i assume he has AK too. EIther way no way i lay this down.

Re: Tough AK hand, 3/6 NL party.. suggestions?
i wouldnt have made the flop CR.
this looks like on of those tied or beaten flops, so i would pass. its very unlikely hes pushing a hand that you can beat after you've called his preflop raise and checkraised on the flop. unless hes really laggy or overplays hands, toss this one. i just dont see a typical player pushing a hand here that you beat |
Re: Tough AK hand, 3/6 NL party.. suggestions?
Without any reads on opponent this is an easy fold, you might get to split if your lucky. But I also think if you always fold in this spot you are playing far to weak.
I would have liked a check call to keep pot as small as possible. |
Re: Tough AK hand, 3/6 NL party.. suggestions?
I like a check call in this case, only because the As and the Ks are out, and hence you can rule out(or highly diminish) the possibility of a flush draw, considering he was the pf raiser UTG.
I'd check call flop, possibly lead a spade turn to see what he does. I think getting to showdown is pretty important here as you're either way ahead or way behind, so how about a flop check call, then a check minraise on blank turn, to see a free river. If he checks behind on turn, blocking bet river. If he calls ur minraise on turn and leads river I am prolly done with it. Just some new lines I've been trying out, feedback appreciated. |
