In response to a player who continued to moan about getting his aces cracked, "Sir, we can get those aces boxed up so you can take them home as a souvenier, if you like."

read this in a previous 2+2 thread just like this:

after a player took down a nice pot with some garbage like 92o:

"Why did you play that junk?"
"I was in the big blind, nobody raised preflop."
"Yeah but you still don't have to play it."

Guy getting TPWK cracked on the river: God. You'll call anything down.

Guy tilting table through major late street sucking out run:
Hey. You may have a good hand at the start, but you gotta cross the river to get home.

Same suckout guy and I have choice words when he asks to see my cards mucked at showdown. I explain collusion purpose of rule. He tells me that he's been playing poker longer than I've been alive. I state that doesn't change purpose of rule and ,oh yeah, I've played more hands of poker than he has in his entire lifetime. Guy huffs and puffs and says that's impossible. I explain mathe behind him playing for 40 years at B&M rate of 35 hands/hr., blah blah blah. Got him to play back at me more (he was on my direct right) and got back most of my suckout money from him. BTW, dealer showed him the cards but told him she wouldn't do it again without some good reason to suspect collusion.

If I haven't been chatting at the table, I will occasionally feed my opponent's appetite for mega-astro-tilt by pretending to be a bot. I'll let out a "/ERR stack overflow -1347" followed by a few other "/ERR" messages. I learned this tactic from the great Poker Grub.

As you point to the flop cards... "Some people play this end of the board..."

Move your finger to the river... "While some people play THIS end of the board"

Re: Best lines said/heard after a suckout(low content)

Some guy at one of the forums I frequent (maybe even this one, which I browse more than anything) wrote about some fella, mid-50ish, who went beet red after the poster nailed a river flush to beat his straight or something like that to take a huge pot. Apparently, it was one of those nights for beet-red guy where nothing he hit would stand up. Beet-red guy just screams, "Go crawl back up into your mother's womb and die!!"

The funniest damned tilt line I've ever heard/read.

I like to use a "husband" line on some fool who starts ranting after taking a bad beat. "Boo-fing-hoo. Go cry on your husband's shoulder." "Go ask your husband for more money and reload." Stuff like that. It really gets 'em going.

After calling with 67o in a 3/6 game with a full kill on the hand and sucking out with trip 6's, I was asked "how could you call a cap with that crap", "Hey I did say 'hee haw' when I called didnt I?" to which the floor who had been watching the hand added "DonK Quixote lives!". Opps earned a nickname there.

I have a bunch of em when I suck out...I never make a comment when my opponent sucks out.

The good cards ALWAYS come on the river.

I can't figure out how I've lost 23 days in a row.

Is this game here everyday?

I know it makes you sick, but it makes me well.

HEll no.
THe best line after a suckout:
1-2 pot game at the B&M

Raised to 7 preflop with 4 callers.

Flop A Q T rainbow

Player 1 bets $20, Player 2 raises Pot, all fold to player 1, who ReRaises Pot, Player 2 ReRaises Pot (we're at like ~$130 bet here), and then Player 1 goes all in for an additional $50. Player 2 calls and shows KJs for the nuts. Player 1 had AA.

Turn is a 9 and river is a Q for the suckout, which of course isn't such an insane suckout but the line is just unforgettable.

Player 1 looks at player 2 while stacking his chips, gives him a nod and says totally honestly: 'good call there, good call'. Player 1 racked up and left maybe 20minutes later.

My friend does this. He's a very serious player who minds his own business but if someone berates him after sucking out he looks at the guy, shrugs his shoulders and says "I'm an idiot".

Guy flops a set on me, i have AA, go all in on flop..river an ace to beat him. Huge pot..one guy goes..be very aware of the 2 outer...i say.."he hit his 2 outer..then i hit mine..sounds fair to me". After that the whole table thought i was a fish.

One of my favorites is when a guy slowplays to try to trap you, and you end up turning the tables on him. I was playing with a guy last night I had 99, he had 88. Flop comes 10 10 8. He checks the flop and the turn. River is a 9. I bet the pot, he raises, I reraise....he makes yet another raise, at this point i start giving him credit for 10 9 or 10 8 or something, so I just call. We both flip our cards and I throw out my favorite "nice slowplay"

that reminds me of this time i played against this one dude. i flopped a dorky straight with 68o (board of 795 in the BB lol..sb checks, i check, utg bets out, i think it was like 4 handed, i opt to call. turn is a T...k slowplay is over, sb checks, i bet, utg calls others call. river is an 8...eww...i check, utg bets out gets a couple of callers, utg smiles and says "i got it" as he shows us J3o...

i do not get mad, i just laugh it off and say "that's what i get for slowplaying" utg tells me he was going to win it anyway...lol k buddy =D

Re: Best lines said/heard after a suckout(low content)

Not so sure if this belongs here or not, but what the hey:

Live MTT ($30+5). UTG raises pre-flop with A5, gets 2 callers, one of which has A9s ([img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]) Flop comes 532 with two [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]s. UTG bets out, 1 fold, A9s calls. Turn comes with the 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG pushes all-in, guy with flush calls and turns up his cards. UTG flashes his cards to me and a couple of others before throwing them into the muck before anyone can say anything. He then realizes what he did and says to the dealer: "No 5!" Of course, the dealer delivers him a 5 on the river for a full house.

UTG picks up his cards from the muck, shows the rest of the table what he did before walking off talking to himself about how stupid that was.

Comment to flush guy: "You had the worst hand at the river, had another player all-in and still managed to win the hand."

Re: Best lines said/heard after a suckout(low content)

To preface: Guy 1 just cracked Guy 2's AA and can't shut up about it.

I'm sitting in between these guys in my intimidation gear; a pink oxford shirt. I want nothing to do with them and they keep dragging me into their tiss.

Guy 1: (Really loud and drunk)...I had AA before too, and they lost man, they LOST MAN! Don't you KNOW IT? Am I right? Tell me I'm right.

Guy 2: Could you please shut THE [censored] UP?

Guy 1: Do you want to make something of it, [censored]?

Guy 2: I just did 6 years hard time in a Bay Prison for beating the [censored] outta some retard like you, and I'm READY TO DO IT AGAIN!

After peeing my pants, I get a seat change so I don't have to deflect any misplaced punches or bottles.

At this point, I think the floor should have been called and both guys escorted out. Instead the game continued, and they both lost upwards of $400.

Here's the one that gets me upset in ONLINE poker:

Player 1 goes all-in preflop. Player 2 calls.

Player 1 flips up 88. Player 2 shows AA.

Flop: AKK
Turn: 8
River: 8

Player 1 writes into the chat box: "TY" or "Thank You"

I would respond "No. Thank you." If someone made an atrocious play and sucked out. I doubt they'd ever understand though.

Re: Best lines said/heard after a suckout(low content)

played in a live tourney last night. in the bb i was dealt 35o, flopped a straight, bet out 1/3 the pot, got some callers. turn high card, like a king or ace, i check middle guy bets the pot i call..by this time, i'm a little below the average. river another painted card, i bet out 1/3 the pot, guy reraises me (doubles up my bet) i think and go all in, he instantly calls me with AQ for top pair good kicker. i did not slowroll him though, the instant he said call i said "i have a straight" and flipped my dorky cards. slowrolling is not fun, i NEVER do it.

anyway, guy next to me (not involved in the hand) nodded and said "nice hand." in the middle of saying "thank you," i stopped myself and said "actually no, not a nice hand, just a nice board for me."

The best was when this guy cracked a set against me rivering the nuts and checked and I checked. He rolls it over and I proceeded to ask him "When were you gonna bet? 6th street?"
