\"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (6/25)

Tonight's show is scheduled to be a 200 NL game (3/5 blinds). Tonight will also be Bart Hanson's last commentating appearance for two weeks, which means we get more Denny and Friends less good commentary (at least until Jana, Shirley or Jennifer turn up again).

A posting from earlier today asked the question why the Bike always ends their shows at 10pm Pacific, maybe one of the powers that be will answer that question, and if there's a possibility that there will be a change in times or days of the week the show will be broadcast. Until then, be back in about an hour.

Since I always forget, you can watch the show at www.thebike.com, click on live at the bike (works best with WMP 10) or by pasting http://216.53.204.10/bike/bike_300.asx into your WMP.

They discussed about changing times and days about six weeks ago. They never brought it up after that.

I will transfer 100 Sklansky bucks to anyone who can decipher Terry's low talking. BART DON'T AGREE TO WEAR A PUFFY SHIRT.

Does Terry have a cool nickname, like the Mailman. If not, I think he should be given one, a cooler one.

Wait a minute, here! It's traditional that every time two players make a flush, Bart says how very rare it is.

The statistic of interest is not how often two players make a flush. It's how often two players make a flush, given that one player makes a flush.

I think they adjusted the volume, but Terry is still too quiet and Bart is WAY too loud. Do you think maybe Bart just thinks that's cool?

My theory is Bart sneaks into the booth beforehand and adjusts the volumes when he's paired with a newbie.

Was Terry really being serious about what he just said, about cards sticking together?

EDIT: If Terry's trying to be funny, it's not working.

Hi Bart and Terry,

How about a shout out to Larry and Stacey?

(but no golf talk please).

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (6/25)

Why is he saying it is hand shuffled. They are using the machine and the only "shuffle" is the card cutting.

Also, Terry's voice reminds me of Scott Fischman.

Well, the dealer is hand dropping the deck into the shuffler, so... uh, yeah. It's also possible that Terry is high.

And you'll get to hear more of this dope the next two weeks. I'd rather hear from the kitchen staff again.

BTW, where have Jana and Jennifer been anyways?

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (6/25)

I was playing on a table once where a guy had pocket eights and started complaining after the hand because no eight flopped, as an eight had flopped on the last 3 hands.

For the next 3-4 hours, every time an 8 hit the board (flop, turn, river), he'd make a big deal about it. Of course he'd ignore the boards that didn't have an eight, but every time an eight hit, he'd start yelling "See! Every time!"

We eventually killed him.

after the pot reference I was reminded of when I play at our local card house, one of the dealers no matter what always says "pots good" after each betting round and damn is it distracting.
