yay me (unbelievably little content)
So I've finally won enough from my 8 tabling adventures to pass the threshold to where I start adding bigger games like $400 ministeps or $500 stuff somewhere to my 8 tabling. Anyway Im practicing the $400s tonight if anyone is bored!!!!!!!! |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Cash out a little bit and buy yourself a new car?
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Cashing out is for suckers |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
stupid suckers
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
I'm much less disciplined than you, I just jump around and play whatever... it's more exciting that way!
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
you ever worry about Party getting mad at you for something and freezing your account? Geez I get nervous when my account is above 1K.
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
I get nervous when my account is less than 10K...
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Please someone tell me these games are softer during peak hours. No one ever gets eliminated. |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
I am world discipline champion. |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Those games aren't ever soft. Probably 3, maybe even 4 (being generous) running during peak hours.
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Yeah, I just tried my first few of these tonight, and I'm not really warming to them. Not many donks by the looks of it, and I don't like the softened bubble. I'll try a few hundred of them over the next month or so probably, and see how they feel, but I get the feeling that I won't stick around in them for too long.
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Im confused by new structure so far....but hopefully should figure it out. |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Who is Buttontastic?
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
I see that you're on NUTZREALBIG's right too, nice
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Already busted my first one stealing on button with 6 players left with 75o and like 850 chips...blinds 75-150. BB had AA, was completely absurd. |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Me, but I only play on party for the steps (not very often).
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
ok those suck |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
And then you get busted with QJ against QQ.
Variance is a bitch that I dont like to f*** around with. |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
tough games at this time. 4-5 regulars who all play good enough to make me not want to play them. best time in my honest opinion is 5am-9am est.
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Thats not really variance, thats someone having me dominated. Anyway its okay I still did good today |

Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
A8 runs into AA and I'm out in 5th next hand... I've cashed in both of the games I've played and I'm down money, what a strange feeling.
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
I dunno, Ive heard hes not great but havent played with him much. I have to figure out what to do on the bubble....like how important is it to get 5th place and how it should affect my game. I wish eastbays program had the ministep structure. |

Edit2: I typed "allin every hand" into the chat box, tourney was over two hands later. Coincidence? |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
Yeah they are both pretty pathetic heads up.

Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)

curtains what are your rules for moving up with regards to BR? [/ QUOTE ] You only need one rule IMO - play whatever level you want except move down if you have less than 8 buyins. |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
cool and when your name is curtains please answer questions directed towards him

Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
It was very complicated, Ive explained before. Note that I already had a good bankroll before I started this experiment, I just wanted to start from scratch in terms of learning to 8 table. I started 8 tabling the $22s. Id play 32 per day. At the end of the day I'd see what my total profit was from my 8 tabling. If I'm up 10x the buyin for the next level, minus the entry fee ($33 is the next level, thus I have to be up $300), then I replace one of my $22s with a $33, until I have all 8 $33s (Which would be a profit of $2400). At this point I repeat and do the same thing for the $55s, and did it until I was at 8 tabling the $215s. Of course if you lose money you have to drop back down. Like if I win $350 the first day, and then lose $100 the next, then I have to go back to 8 $22s. Sorry if that's all very confusing, I just found it a fun way to do things and to prove to myself that I could beat every level while 8 tabling. |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
i know but im lookin for a more specific answer in relation to that level, something like you are suggesting isnt very practical.
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
alright thanks.

Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
i mean i play 6-7 at a time, i keep a ridiculous amount of buyins in my account its not a matter of being able to play a level, its more like curtains does in earning that new level.
|
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
I must say that is a very unique way of moving up. Sounds pretty cool.
I assume you have a real job and are in no rush to move up |
Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
A real job are you insane? Anyway took just about 2 months to go from 8 $22s to 8 $215s, wasn't the longest wait ever and made a few bucks in process. |

[/ QUOTE ] I stand corrected. You were looking for a specific way of using bankroll to make sure you were playing profitably, not "one rule of thumb" guideline. I didn't realize that was your purpose in the original question. |

Re: yay me (unbelievably little content)
How much sng had you played before starting with this project? Seems like a very nice way of moving up.
