Is this at 10/20? Time to shuffle back to 5/10 for awhile my good man . Over how many hands is this?

Re: It gets it\'s own thread

No I am actually back grinding 3/6 cashed out almost 10k to get myself set up in China, in the last 2mths I just haven't put in enough hours to get my roll back and my 1 return to 5/10 was greated with a -90BB run. Then I played NL and lost some, then tilted $550 at 30/60 on interpoker. Looks like it's back to just 1/2 and bonus hunting, this swing is over about 3k hands, the last 200 in about 900hands.

tilt is bad. but it seems a lot of good players (myself included) need to learn the hard way to have it really sink in.

so now you're all set. good luck in the next stage of your poker career.

Tilt must be destroyed at all costs

I've been thinking very similar things lately.

feel for ya man. i had a 200bb downswing at 5/10 that took place at over 20k hands, so it was sort of a prolonged death.

and then i lost 2k in one day playing 10/20 full.

but i just went on a 200bb rush at 5/10 in the last two days.

yah!

Re: It gets it\'s own thread

If this eases ur pain at all I lost ~15K in under 24 hrs once.

Had recently hit third in the stars sunday tourney and was feeling flush/stoopid. Decided to play stars 30/60. Had about 12K in my account at the time, did fairly well for a few hrs and made about 3K. Then lost like 5 and went into super tilt. Ended up losing everything in my account before daybreak. Sigh

Live and learn I suppose. Best of luck getting back on ur feet.

Dude, 15K? I think I would have shot myself. Hope things have been better since.

-so your BB's are all different shapes and sizes?

-when you tilt... what do you do? do you start overplaying for a period of time, or are you simply makeing more mistakes than usual? just curious.

Thanks man,

Yea that was back in like November, and yea it felt kinda like getting hit by a truck or at least what I think getting hit by a truck would feel like.

Ive since been working on the whole tilting/playing beyond limits that I should and have been doing much better. Just a very expensive lesson to have to learn.

Re: It gets it\'s own thread

before my poker days..... I lost about 7 grand in a matter of a few hours playing blackjack. 7 grand was a lot more to me then than it is now... and of course its still a lot.

it was good for me, because 1) I decided I didnt like BlackJack 2) and caused me to be conservative with my bankroll when I got involved in poker.

It's a cold world, baby girl.

Keep your head up. May you have plenty of hands as big as this:

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, Button calls, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, UTG calls, Button folds, Hero caps, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (13 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG calls, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, UTG calls, Hero caps, BB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (12.50 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, UTG calls, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, UTG calls.

River: (21.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG raises, Hero calls, BB folds.

Final Pot: 26.50 BB

does this seem really abnormal to anyone else? i might be an exception but i've never seen such rapid bleeding...why don't you take some time off? you're clearly not playing well.
