why copy?
 
why do some people just copy and paste a persons original messagein their resonse, and not say anything else. is there some sort of reason behind it that i dont know yet?

When someone CAPs another person's post and doesn't add anything, it generally means the CAPper agrees with the message that was CAPped.

Sometimes people put a reply into the "paste" box, so the reply looks like it's part of the original message. Otherwise, I don't have clue why people do this. Surely typing "ditto" doesn't take much effort?

Instead of clicking "reply" then copying and pasting, just click "quote".
