$40/$80, TT hand.

Pretty good B&M game. I just got moved to this game, so I've only played a couple orbits, and haven't seen many flops. I've taken down one good sized pot when my AK flopped an ace.

Unknown player open raises in MP, I 3-bet with T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in LMP, BB calls. (BB is a loose aggressive bad player)

Flop: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Checked to me and I bet, BB call, MP call.

Turn: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB checks, MP bets, your action??

what does he look like? what race is he? how old is he? has he played any hands other this one since youve shown up? if this was the net id say raise it, but live 40, prolly a fold. if it was Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] i think this fold would be easier.

Well the pot is big, I don't think I would fold.

Raise? I'm thinking the bettor does not have a flush as he would try and checkraise 2 people. So therefore, you may have him beat and thus would want to protect your fragile hand against the BB. If bettor does have you beat with something like AQ, then this play may not cost you anything as he may be afraid of the flush and check the river.

He could very well have the Ad.

Call and see what BB does and what the river is.
Or
Raise and fold to a 3-bet / Check behind on the river.

I'm raising and then shutting down.

40-50 years old, persian maybe? He had played a few hands, seemed an okay player, maybe a little loose from what little I'd seen.

Raise and Fold to a 3-bet seems like the best line...Watch him closley if he calls and does not 3-bet, Possible value bet on the river.

Raise and take the free showdown. If he fires into you on the river call if non-diamond, fold if diamond.

Thanks for the replies.

So to recap the action preflop: MP raised, I 3-bet with Th Ts, BB called.

They both called my bet on a ragged flop with 2 diamonds

Turn is the Qd and MP bets...

Right after the hand I wished I had raised the turn, or folded. Both of which seem better than what I did, which was flat call. BB called too.

So three of us see a blank river, and it was checked around.

BB shows KQo and it's good. I didn't see MP's hand.

I didn't notice if BB had the Kd or not. If he did, there is no way he folds, otherwise...a turn raise puts a lot of pressure on him, although this guy....I don't know if he lays it down. I still agree with you guys though, raising the turn for a free showdown is best.

He's not folding a Q regardless on the turn. This is California, not Vegas.

I still would raise the turn though, and bet the river again if checked to me and a diamond doesn't come off.
