I don't know for sure, but that sounds a little high. It seems like many around here have either found dell deals or gone the ebay route to end up paying $400-$500 shipped.

The only reason i'm more inclined to get it from Dell directly instead of Ebay is because I can put it on my Dell preferred account [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

$599 is a lousy price for the 2001fp. I bought mine directly from Dell for like 530, and it has gone for as low as 500, maybe even lower. I'd wait...

That may be the lowest its been without any coupons but I got mine for $380 about 2 months ago with 3 different coupons.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this post...

$599 is still to high. I bought mine from Dell for $525. I tend to agree with other posters that it will come down further in the next month.

FWIW, I'm pulling the trigger on anything around $500.

$529 isnt close enough to $500 for ya? Use the coupon 1VWL8GL8PSGGVK and you get $70 off the $599 which brings it down to $529

I was looking at the Dell 2001FPs on ebay and they all seem pretty cheap. Is there any reason to not trust them? It all seems to good to be true.

From reading the descriptions Ebay stuff is usually used or factory refurbished. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, but know what you are getting.

Also, I emailed one of the sellers on ebay and asked about the 3 year warranty. He said that the ones he was selling didn't come with the warranty. I personally need that 3 year warranty if i'm going to drop 500 on something.

Queston: Could you stack another coupon on there? like one of those $100 coupons on ebay?

You can probably wait and get a better deal within the next month but with the coupon above my final price was, in fact, $529.50. I've been waiting for some time so I decided to go ahead. Can't wait for it to get here. Maybe even my old eyes will be able to see well enough on this to multi table.

I can't believe I didn't pull the trigger a couple of months ago when I could have gotten one for about $400. The only reason I didn't is because it was screwing with my dell preferred application so I couldn't get a few extra $$$ off. I just assumed there would have been another good sale by now, and now I'm getting really anxious.

Any Canadians in Vancouver can avoid the outrageous Dell Canada prices and have it shipped to a postal service in Pt Roberts for a small fee. It worked great for me.

I think they oversold these with the hot deal a few weeks back. The deal was supposed to last for a week and they pulled it in a day.
The best deals tend to come near the end of each quarter.
