Cog labels on ASM\'s

Well I got the labels in. Rippedsheets did a great job on them, took a couple passes to get them lined up and they came out pretty decent. As I mentioned before the labels are super thin and stick really well. I bent one putting it on and just stuck it to my desk and moved on to the next sticker, when I went to go take it off my desk it took the fake wood paper right off. So the glue seems really good. The chips still stack really great as compared to when i just tried using the regular paper labels they got really slippery and tipsy. Overall I'm pretty pleased with the look and dont look forward to putting them all on. Here are a couple shots of them, just click the pictures for a larger view. You can see how thin they are on the close up of the $25 chip.

Nice, did you have someone design them for you? If so who. I'm looking for someone to design a chip for me. And how long did it take them to design it.

Re: Cog labels on ASM\'s

I did them myself. Thats kinda what I do, on the side (labels).

I have the labels, and I'm going to print them at Office Depot. I just need a design for my chip. Would you be interested in making a design for me? PM me how much you'd want for one design 6 denominations, and 6 designs 6 denoms. And how long it would take to send me the file?

thanks!

They look great Jason. I'm impressed that you can get the cog ends to stay flat on the chip and not peel up.

Re: Cog labels on ASM\'s

is this that much different than what pokerchips.com does? they put labels (with crappy designs on them) on ASM chips?

jason, how much did these labels cost? and how much did the chips cost per? this might be a nice, inexpensive clay option.

Re: Cog labels on ASM\'s

hmm...upon further inspection, a set of 400 with edge spots would only run $200, and then add labels...very affordable. $140 without edge spots...

Re: Cog labels on ASM\'s

jtr the glue is insanely strong on them, no chance of peeling.

Paradigm the labels cost me $5/sheet (actually $6 because I had to pay their artist to draw the cog because they said mine wouldnt work???) so about $150 for 25 sheets. Its pretty expensive but very unique

Re: Cog labels on ASM\'s

jason, would your labels (non-cog) work on them? i ordered samples of the horsehead, roman, and circle-square but i prefer the latter two. could you label those up?

Re: Cog labels on ASM\'s

If the center is 1" and recessed then yes if not then no

Looks good Jason.

Joshua (see thread below) has labeled some ASM horsehead chips and he mentioned that these chips have a recessed inlay. How much would it cost to label 500 chips with this new style? Thanks

With these labels? About $140

Re: Cog labels on ASM\'s

awesome...even though the horsehead isn't my favorite mold, i might go this route. should be good.

WOW..that's .28 cents a chip

Can you get labels with the thin quality paper that you mention but with the normal round look and would they be much cheaper?

Re: Cog labels on ASM\'s

Same price, the cut is free.

Re: Cog labels on ASM\'s

If you just want round labels your probably better off having PC.com do them for 35¢ each and have them pressed in.

yeah, but their art looks kinda crappy, IMO, and i've heard their process sucks. plus i think yours would be cheaper.

You can do all the artwork yourself, and they can just use what you give them. And like Tom said, they've done some good work too. I think it's all related to the person ordering, and how clear an idea they have for their artwork.

Plus there's the fact that the HH mold does not have a recessed center.

I am organizing a group buy for ASM clay chips at chiptalk.net

Cathy from http://www.pokerchips.com has quoted me discounts on a group buy of ASM chips. Here are the terms:

1) Group buy is on HorseHead Mold (since I can only pick 1 mold and this seems to be everyone's favorite) with edge spots and no inlay ONLY.

2) Everyone gets to pick their own color combinations.

3) Regular retail prices are $0.50 per chip. Discounts are 10% for 10,000 chips ($0.45 each) and 20% up to 20,000 chips ($0.40 each) ordered.

I want to see how much interest there are out there. I think this is a HUGE discount for so little chips ordered.
