I'm not blaming for anything, and I certainly am not a pc facist. If anything, I love the guy for how sincerely clueless he is sometimes. Calling somebody a cripple is a little, I don't know...

I think it's open to interpretation the way it is written. I would interpret that she said she was a cripple, otherwise it is kinda inappropriate.

Being a cripple myself I don't mind when people use the word. I use it myself and while I cant speak for all the cripples in the world, I prefer it. I think the defining moment was when I looked disabled in a thesaurus.

Does anyone else thinks it's a terrible idea for him, in the middle of all these issues he's having, to issue open challenges-which hypothetically will only be answered by the best- for 500K a pop

Kill yourself, noob.

When was the last time writing two sentences constitutes having little to do? I actually work 10 hours a day, which I assume is more than you can claim... Am I right? Or is college really pressing these days, pookie?

I actually think playing high-stakes poker with his reputation on the line is what keeps him from going off the rails so, no. I think its a very good idea. As he is unquestionably one of the very best players in the world what's the problem?

Re: He never ceases to amaze me...

KILL MYSELF NOOB???? wow, kind of harsh don't you think. I didn't know I got to you personally by objecting to your nonsense post-critiquing someone elses blog about their blog is somewhat ridiculous dont you think? especially for an educated man like yourself and those strenuous 10 hour days you've been working, I mean if the life of Daniel Negreanu, or finding ways to berate him out of jealousy really means that much to you maybe you should seek help or start working 24 hour days

otnemem 05-03-2005 11:08 PM

Re: He never ceases to amaze me...

If you'd pay attention, you'd know that I like the guy. I'm just poking fun at him. That's not allowed? I've looked through some of your posts. It seems like all you do is come on and defend your heroes. I think you areDaniel Negreanu. Either way, don't delude yourself into thinking that your idol and role model is going to see you defending him on a message board and invite you to a private lesson...

So break this down for me again...

Two sentences = too much time on my hands? Something like that? In the words of the great Otto, "Get in the coffin." Your idols don't need you to defend them, especially against a little good-natured ribbing, you ass.

pancakes 05-03-2005 11:52 PM

Re: He never ceases to amaze me...

well I'm glad you checked me out, I do defend those I admire that are constantly ribbed on this site,(e.g. josh arieh, DN, Tuan Le, etc.) out of the respect of being a fan. They are not my heros, they are simply poker players and thats that nor do I seek recognition from them or anybody else, I could care less, and I'm sure they have more important things to worry about than a bunch of red asses ribbing them on a forum.

The problem I had with your response to my post was the "Kill yourself" quote wich was totally out of line.

I agree it might not have been the most tactful of ways to say it. But one thing about Daniel that most people love is his complete honesty. So as I always tell the people that work for me " take the good withthe bad".

lol maybe. I bet they break up after barry greenstien takes daniel's entire bankroll in the 500k a pop heads up deal, and he has to sell his phat house and go back to bonus whoring the party skins; just like a little bitch.

edit to add: "just like a little bitch" cause that is noteworthy.

not sure, but for it has become "this guys is a whiney little bich"

"this guy" is some poker guy from tv David or Don or something.

on a side not: chicks only like guys with skills, numchuck skills, computer hacking skills... being a little bitch is not a skill.

DN's blog makes my eyes bleed. Honestly, his poker articles are "fair" (though they always seem to end with him growing bored at playing for such little $$), but his blog is like mainlining fiberglass. Who gives a flat f**k about what he had for breakfast, who his best buddy was in 4th grade, or how much he pines for some chick?

His writings reveal a megalomaniacal, self-absorbed, pathologically arrogant twit (who happens to have just the right mix of skills and gambool to be a phenomenally successful poker player). He's a nit, period.

Its his journal jackass, if ya don't like it don't read it. He's not writing it for anyone else. I'm sure every one of your journal entries, if you kept one, would be fascinating to everyone else in the world.

Get off his nuts already.

You forgot to add that his spelling makes it easy to believe that he's a high school dropout.

I agree with the last two posts: He's a self-absorbed twit, and given that, there's no reason to read his crap.

So what would compel someone, such as xPuns1her, to reply to a message by typing nt in the message field, with no message in the title? He's just being a douche right? Because that's what I was thinking...
