My poker chips came today!

Pokerchips.com sent from 12 - 13 extra chips in every color I ordered!

With my wife's blessing, I ordered these shortly after finding out that she was bepregnanted. I figured that soon we would be having money issues, and I would not be able to waste money on a complete vanity luxury item for two more decades.

I was wise. If I had it to do again, I would not have spent the money. We can't afford complete vanity luxury items. I'm glad I did it. With any luck, my daughter will be an amazing card player and she will know that the day she can beat me two out of three sessions the chips will be hers. Then, after she has done so, we will change it to "four out of seven" then "her fourteenth birthday" then "her twenty-first birthday." Finally, when she is about to get on the plane to Monte Carlo to hustle some evil card-playing Count, in order to bankrupt him and free a tiny village of enslaved peasants, I will hand her the case of chips and say, "Do us proud, honey, do us proud."

Make sure to post pics when they come!

I couldn't get a good close-up with a digital camera, but my laser-scanner did a great job. If it will make you feel better- mine came 3 weeks before they were supposed to.

The blue is too close to the purple for my tastes, but I like your color combinations and the logo. Very sexy chips.

Congrats & Congrats!!

The chips are very nice... might post your colors as there are some unique ones. The use of a diff obverse design is interesting... couldn't decide which to use? The design on the left looks like room was left for denoms? LOL, I have similar sentiments with regard to my little girl & to some extent my customs so I know where you're comming from [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]! The way I look at it as I've spent worse money and our casino trips will be on hold for some time... I figure we've missed at least two good opportunities in which we could have (& probably would have) spent/lossed what we paid for our customs... just one of many I'm sure good justifications/rationalizations [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

White / Chocolate
Red / Arc Yellow
Blue / Light Green
Black / Mandarin Red
Purple / Grey

Kim at pokerchips.com did not believe the text would be readable under my graphic. (I'd sent her a vectorgraphic of the thing) So I had to choose between the full graphic and the text. Like I do at buffets, I said "I want both!" and chose to have one on one side, and one on the other.
