How has tilt made you a better person?

I was just thinking that it might be beneficial if everyone were to share a little bit of insight into how "Tilt" has improved themselves. I guess this means I have to start..

1. Tilt taught me that crapping one's pants in public is a relatively common occurence. I no longer feel embarassed about my previous 'incidents.'

Tilt taught me that the mentally handicapped are people too, equally deserving of our respect.

Re: How has tilt made you a better person?

Tilt taught me if I says something that makes no sense at all, no one will be like "WTF!? Speak English!"

Tilt taught me a guy with the first name Muff can grow up without having killed 10 people for being harrased. Hell, it taught me someone's dumb enough to name their kid Muff.

Tilt also taught me, no matter how rich and famous you are you have to kill people yourself.

I've learned to get out of the kiddy pool and start making moves...

Oh yeah and I am now too scared to go to Vegas...

Oh oh yeah...and live poker is rigged!

I finally learned how to put a cute girl on tilt.

First you murder her mentor, then you call her "little sister"

I have learned that ESPN needs to stick to covering live sports and making sports documentaries. Any venture they had into Made-for-TV Movies or mini-series are just plain horrible television.

I also learned that if you take a current fade that is sweeping American and then gather a bunch of chimps to think of and write a tv show ESPN is going to create and then promote the hell out of it.

I am already writting a script for ESPN when televised darts takes off. I won't give you the details yet, but their will be countless amounts of cheating and a talking dolphin named Roscoe.

Tilt has taught me that any cute girl who hits on me in vegas may be FBI.
Tilt has taught me to watch for bodies falling from the sky when I play slots.
Tilt has taught me that in order to make a great poker show, you need dealers that despite getting paid to work on the show, never actually even attempted to practice dealing a flop in their lives.

Tilt has taught me that if I ever play in the WSOP main event, it will not take up much of my time or energy. I will still be able to carry on my many other daily activities such as extortion, a quick trip upstate to kill a guy, my day job at the boiler room, planning sting operations with the FBI, having lots of sex, etc.

Tilt has taught me that when you're used to getting a tonguebath, it's hard to go back to the Charmin.

Tilt has taught me the proper way to react when someone string bets me in a backroom game.

Tilt has taught me that when someone mistakenly thinks it's my birthday, to just smile and gracefully accept their gifts.

Oh man, what a great question.

Life: It has taught me so much about psychology and values and what it takes to be successful in life.

Poker: It has taught me to approach the game in a different way. Most specifically, it has really helped take my hand-reading to the next level.

Tilt has improved me in an indirect way.

Since I didn't watch it, I have gained against all those that did.

2) You don't celebrate your birthday
3) You'd rather watch the weather channel

Tilt has taught me that If I stare long enough, and chew my cud, I can see through anyones hole cards.

BTW, How old were Clark and Eddie when the Matador beat them for all their money. They made me think they must have been kids just like Miami. Because otherwise wouldn't he have recognized them in the first place? Dumb thought process for storyline.

matador did recognize them. why do u think he foiled thier plan so easily?

He remembered Eddie - he gave them the line about the Tudor Girls - Queens - playing them too hard when he had Kings - and then Eddie did what every hard working rounder does when his 2 outer doesn't catch up - he went outside and pucked.

Tilt taught me that it is not a good idea to get all of money in with a king high when there are 4 7's on the board with lots of action, that when the Matador is going to the can he is getting blown and when he tells me to go on vacation, he is planning on killing me.

Bitch.

Re: How has tilt made you a better person?

I know the Matador recognized them but why wouldn't they think he would. Now do you see why the show was badly written. You have 2 guys show up in the same casino get in a fight and are still allowed to play at the casino. Clark and Eddie were supposed to be so smart but yet they weren't smart enough to realize the Matador would recognize them.

Clark is like a GD super genius according to the show.

Tilt taught me that if me and my 2 friends enter a 2500 person tournament, we should all make the final 10.

Re: How has tilt made you a better person?

I learned that folding 98 to a big bet into two players on a board of TJQK is a good play.

I also learned that I'm not ugly enough to play on 3 computers at once to try to get in 2000-3000 hands in a week.

I learned that if some British guy tells me that he has picked up on my betting-patt-uhn at the table I can really confuse him by going over-the-top all-in on is ass.

I learned how to instruct my playing partner in plain-view of everyone the straight-forward signals we are going to use to tell each other our cards.

I learned that I can't be booted out of the casino as long as I get a hold of the video-tape.

I learned that 8-grand isn't a very good win.

I also learned that if my attempts to triple-up and double-it fail I can just make up for it by winning a $5-million tourney.

And the list goes on.
I learned SOOOOOO much from this show.

That is absoutely correct.

However, I do question myself reading (and replying to) a topic about a show I didn't watch, other than the pilot.

I could have been watching the weather channel. Or QVC.
