Politics forum cliche

How many references to "drinking the kool-aid" can we achieve in 2005? At least one a day I would think. Anyone have a better guess?

Seriously, it's a stupid expression. Be a little creative people.

Think of it as shorthand elwood. I've been in arguements with people who say that there is no global warming. In fact my Dad is even one of these people. (I think he argues with me just because he is a lawyer and likes to play devils advocate.) He sent me some statements from a MIT meteorologist. A quick search revealed that man is on the RNC and several oil companies payroll at a rate of $1,500 a day. That's not bad for a teacher. I still have to discredit his statements a bit more, but you can't help but say that is kool-aid. I used that word when talking about that meteorolgist with my dad, which didn't go over well. I agree it is over used but a lot of people will believe any fact that supports what they want to believe. And people will go to extreme lengths when it comes to politics. Politics is full of kool-aid.

See, now that's a much better insult than "Keep drinking the Kool-Aid."

My favorite flavor is Mandarine Tangerine, but Grape is good too.

And did you know Kool-Aid Man traditionally wears a rainbow-striped shirt, jeans and sneakers. But his wardrobe varies according to the occasion. For example, he also wears:
- An open Hawaiian print shirt with a bathing suit and flip flops on Island Twists™ flavors,
- Khaki walking shorts and hiking boots on Mega Mountain Twists™ flavors
- A swimming suit, sunglasses and flip flops on new KOOL-AID Fruit T's™ flavors
- A bright print shirt and huarache sandals on new Mandarina Tangerine
- Skis, earmuffs, goggles and mittens on KOOL-AID KOOL-POPS™

And did you know that KOOL-AID® - which cost less than a penny a glass back in 1927 - is still a bargain, costing less than a nickel a glass and beating the rate of inflation since 1947!

Heh, thanks for assuming my post was referring to you. It wasn't, but you did a great job of illustrating my point.

How does that Kool-Aid taste?

I wasn't sure if he meant "retarted" or "retarred". His "Loc:" line is cut short, and it is always hard to correctly differentiate between those 2 words without proper context.
