Still weighing whether or not to play..my dad is having his b-day party at 6 pst. Gives me 4.5 hours to play..not sure if I trust anyone to play under me, if I get that far of course. Still thinking, what do you think I should do?

My son has a soccer game from 4 to 5. I'm taking my laptop so I can play the first half hour, but I have a 15 minute drive home where I'll have to sit out or let my 11 year old play for me.

Decided not to play. The whole point in playing is to get deep, and if I am playing just for someone else to play for me near the end, I don't see the point. GL all in it.

Patience. This will be an 8+hour tourney. With the blinds still low and 20-minute levels, there's plenty of time to wait on your premium hands.

I use my cellphone as a modem.

Incidentally it saved my ass, I timed out with AA and had it folded on a hand where two guys made full houses, I probably would have lost a ton of chips or went bust on the hand.

Flopped an open ended straight flush draw and called the raiser on flop, and turn, then folded river when nothing hit. He flopped a set of 7's and then the river gave him quads. Glad I didn't reraise him on the flop!

Down to 500 chips.

im sorry to go off track of the tournament. but using your cell phone as a modem sounds very interesting. If you could give me a bit of information on this I would appreciate it. t1440 at the break. not many hands. 2 for 2 w/ AK and lost a pot w/ AQ. no pocket pairs at all.

1815 at break with only playing a couple hands. AK won the blinds and won a small pot early with QQ.

Most cell phones have a data adapter now. I purchased a kit ($100) that gives me software and a cable and a number to call to get internet hookup anywhere there is 1X service. I can pay by the byte or a flat rate for a month. If I know I'm going to be away I pay the monthly rate, otherwise I pay the cell charge.

I'm out in 1210. I don't think that pays me. Ha. Was down to 700 chips and called in LP w/ QK of clubs and flop came k and two low club cards giving me top pair with high kicker and a flush draw one off the nut flush. Guy in front of me bets 300 and I reraise all in he calls me with A9 offsuit and an Ace hits on the turn.;

Wondering if I should have raised pre-flop? Should I have raised with blinds at 50/100 and 700 chips? I was two off the button, one caller in EP and the BB checked. The EP bet out 300 and I reraised all in and BB folded.

I think I probably should have raised all in. Especially with a big stack calling with A9 offsuit. Thoughts?

I think you played it perfect, you got him to call your bet with 3 outs and 2 cards to come.

I agree that you played it right. You could have pushed preflop with 700 chips and the bb at 100, but thats a big chance with KQ.

I had to lay down AQ to a reraise, got all the way down to 990. Now I have 1215 and I'm BB next hand. A double up would be nice. Table 59.
