Whee! I just won part of the bad beat jackpot on Party Poker. I was playing 4 BBJ tables at the $3/6 level when I got this hand:

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG raises, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO folds, Button folds, Hero calls, BB folds.

Flop: (7 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, MP3 calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, MP3 calls, Hero raises, UTG 3-bets, MP3 folds, Hero caps, UTG calls.

River: (14 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls $3 (All-In).

Final Pot: 15.50 BB
Main Pot: 15 BB, between UTG and Hero. > Pot won by Hero (15 BB).
Pot 2: 0.50 BB, returned to Hero.

Results in white below: 
Hero has Td Ts (four of a kind, tens).
UTG has 9c 9h (four of a kind, nines).
Outcome: Hero wins 15.50 BB. 

It wasn't a huge amount, but pretty good lick. I got 25% for $14,587.98. The bad beat dude got twice that, and the rest of the table split $14,587.98.

Just curious, do you know how large the total jackpot was? Probably around $70,000?

i might be crazy, but i'd rather lose than win with quad 8s or better at a bad beat jackpot table.

LOL...I was playing 4 tables at the time. It was a misclick. I was going to raise, but clicked call instead. I'm just happy I didn't misclick the fold button. I would have had my suicide not already written.

What's funny to me is that this is about as far from a bad beat as you can possibly get, in the literal sense (I know that has nothing to do with winning the jackpot. They could just as easily call it the "Two huge hands showdown" jackpot...)

I mean, the guy with 99 is behind on the flop, he's drawing dead on the flop, and hits his runner-runner free $25k.
