Well, heck, since I've long wanted to make a knee-capping tour of the US, my vote's a no-brainer.

But hey, my vote didn't have anything to do with poker.

I'm sort of wondering what actually got censored there while "motherfucker" made the cut.

Gun violence must be down after all. A lead pipe is the clear implement of choice, or does smashing in a face relieve more stress than shooting out someone's knees?

Shoot them in the kneecap. You can always hit him with the lead pipe while he is crouched over holding his knee.

The only time I ever yell ship is it when I'm in the BB, get to see a free flop with trash and it gets checked around on all streets and then I flip up my like 9 high and yell it out.

Just for laughs, of course.

"Ship it!" is no good? I guess I'll have to switch back to "Booooyaah"

I too love SHIP IT!

But, I don't exactly YELL...

I save it for the end of long droughts, when finally a hand holds up.

Isn't the proper way to shout "Ship it" standing, doing the "air humping" motion with pelvis and fists?

Booyah, on the other hand, can be done seated, albeit with at least one outstretched fist pump.

But if anyone does the "It's your birthday" thing, then we're back to kneecapping.

I kid you not.... I song that song after winning a pot once. It made the entire table crack up.... considering I'm usually the only guy in a suit at the table I guess it was quite funny.

Oh... I forgot to mention....

TT In Da Club [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (it's your birthday)

Excellent post!

I do appreciate the bitterness (subtly )expressed here, as I too have a strong disliking for those morons.

personally i think ship it sounds lame... but i don't have a problem with people saying it...

i like the phrase "send it!" much much better, it's just crisper.

I only play in B&Ms.
What I often hear is "Shovel the chips to Shorty."
If you let little stuff like this affect you, then you aren't thinking about the important stuff, or you have some kind of chip on your shoulder, or you may already dislike the speakers and are going to react negatively to anything they do.

Who does this?

Re: People who yell out SHIP IT!!!!! at the showdown

They usually are guys in their early 20's who wear jackets with hoods and sunglasses. They yell Ship It when they suck out on the river with a hand that was dominated all the way.

They live in frat houses or their parents basement and think they are going to be the next member of the Crew...

Re: People who yell out SHIP IT!!!!! at the showdown

agreed. you need to get over it. in fact, if i knew it bugged you this much, i'd probably yell it as much as possible to get you on tilt.

if you don't like ship it, you'd probably hate the tiny asian girl at one of my local casinos, that yells out SEND ME THE DAMN MONEY! at the top of her lungs.

that kinda [censored] cracks me up.

Wow. What a great post. Ahh, nothing like a little vengeful humor.

"Ship it" is very annoying, however "Ship the $hit" is perfectly acceptable.

PITTM 10-27-2004 04:53 PM

maybe im missing something...

i play b&m fairly frequently and ive never heard anyone say "ship it". however, if the meaning is funny enough i may use it myself. someone explain please.
