Sorry to say but I just think it's Boston's year. After committing 8 errors and still winning both games, I don't see STL coming back. Never know though...been wrong before.

This game is huge and for more than a few reasons. But I think the main one is Pedro. This is his time to shine or sink, time to make history or fizzle, time to show he can be the best in a hostile situation or a mind addled wimp. If he can pitch a near perfect game his spot in MLB history is assured. He needs to go at least 7 full innings and give up say, 2 runs max, and that should seal the deal. Does Pedro understand the significance of all this? After all, Perez of the Dodgers held the Cardnials scoreless.


Red Sox up 3-0 after tonight and no team has every come back from......

Based on the weather report, there may not even be a game at all tonight. Which certainly benefits Pedro, giving him another day of rest. [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

I think giving pedro the extra day of rest isnt that important. what is important is the fact that if this game gets rained out, it will eliminate the travel day (rest) and make the rest of the series on consecutive days. this benifits the sox, due to thier ability to wear down opposing starting pitchers and get into the bullpen.

It's chowdahed, not that long winded version you have have, get it right.

Interesting match up tonight, a former Red Sox cast off pitching against his old team. Suppan is hot, we'll see if he can keep it up as we all know (or should) how Pedro does it on extra rest.

It's raining real good right now, they just pulled the tarp off the infield only to dump the extra water into the outfield and then put the tarp of the infield again.

A Circus smells MUCH better than St. Louis!!!!

The stadium music is pretty cool
 

So is the crowd in all the goofy halloween costumes.

Also the national anthem singer has a nice voice, unlike Steve Tyler and James Taylor.

Random question. How come when everyone in the stands takes off their hats, the military on the field don't have to remove theirs? I just realized that I've never seen a serviceman take his hat off for the anthem.

I posted this in two other threads and I'm posting it here to just before the game starts.


It seems all Cardinal fans are talking about this big home field advantage of theirs. So, I looked up the regualar seaon sats to see how much merit it has.

Cardinals:
Regular Season: 105-57 .648
Home: 53-28 .654
Away: .642

Based on the regular season, the Cardinals don't appear to play any better at home than they do on the road.

Does anyone else really dislike the camera angle? Couldn't they have positioned it lower? It's really difficult to judge how high/low the pitches are.

Thank you Red Sox. Had a bad day at Foxwoods yesterday. So before going down again today I stopped to get a coffee at Honeydew and this guy was selling Red Sox American league champs Tshirts.

I said give me one, maybe it'll bring me luck. And it did to the tune of $1700 in the NL cash game. Go Sox.
