Biggest Pot Won At A Level
Big pots are a function of the stakes, the game being played, playing styles and the skill levels of one's opponents. There may well be other factors. Good play will get the money over time. This may or may not entail winning any big pots. However, here are a few I won. Post your's here. (I just wanted to start a thread about biggest pots won.)
10c/20c HE $7.55 = 37.75 bb 25c/50c HE $14.25 = 28.75 bb 50c/$1 HE $21.75 = 21.75 bb 50c/$1 5CS $16.75 = 16.75 bb What is most noticeable is that as the stakes get bigger the number of big bets won gets smaller. This is because the players get better. Okay. Now let me hear about the biggest pots you have won. |

16BB at 10/20. Not huge, but it was the first and only time I played that level.

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
Yeah I think I won the biggest pot ever:
58.75 BB at Party 0.50/1 |
Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
1-2$ flopped a set of aces and it held. capped every street. 50BB on the nose. I wish I had the hand history.
Also, I sat recently at a 5-10 live game with a 48 BB pot. These live games routinely have huge pots, capped 8-9 way preflop. |
Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
> $1.60 at .02/.04 for +40 BB
Three people flopped a spade flush. I was sitting w/AKs. |
Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
~$1100 15/30 37 BB's.

Okay. Now let me hear about the biggest pots you have won. [/ QUOTE ] Well, I lost a $1700 pot at 15-30. 750 was in pre-flop. This happened at the Bellagio about 3 years ago. ~D |
Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
I won a $966 pot (32.2 big bets) at $15/$30 with J9dd. Yes, that is now my favorite hand.
Flop Td8cXc, and beautiful Qd on the turn giving me the nut straight and a flush draw... and I was screaming at my monitor, "NO CLUUUUUUUUUUUUB!" as the river turned as FIVE people were going to see the river. No club or diamond hit and I was good. |

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
I scooped a pot that was around $3100 in a $30/60 stud/8 game. I had (45)6544(X) and the two guys who were jamming their flushes thought I was on a low. I miss those guys.
Largest pot I've ever seen in terms of BB was in a $4/8 stud/8 game. It was capped on all streets, with five players seeing fifth, four seeing the river, and three in for the seventh street cap. That's around $640, not counting the antes and bring-in, which get dropped anyway. My contribution was $.50. Trips and a Seven-low chopped it. Either that or the time that two players in a high-only $4/8 game agreed to go all-in for about $300 in what was already a fairly large pot. Aces-full beat Kings-full, and the guy with Kings-full thought that he'd won the jackpot. The guy with Aces-full didn't even qualify. |
Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
What, pray, is the nut straight on that board?

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
40BB at 5/10 NL

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
Playing 3/6 NLHE, my 777AA beat someone's AAQQ. Pot = $530, 88.3 BB.
But my favorite thus far was in 3/6 Stud, Chicago Hi (mixing it up at the home game) Total pot $189, 31.5 BB. Not to bad in a little 6 handed game. This may sound like a dream or somehting, but.... My first 4 cards were KKKK, with the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] down. I check raised the first two rounds, laughing at the cocky punk kid across the table, there were 4 in on the deal, and 3 on 4th St. We capped the rest of the way, with just the two of us in. The funny part is that on 4th St, he only had a pair of sixes, but he wound up with sixes full. |

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
The biggest pot that I have won at
25c/50c 5CS $11.35 = 22.7 bb (I had trip nines and some joker convinced himself that he was winning!) |
Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
Probably the largest pot in terms of big bets that I have ever seen was 15/30 at Canterbury.
5 Players pre flop for 5 bets, blinds folded. Flop 258 Capped on the flop, all 5 players called. Turn 6 Capped on turn, 4 players. River 3 Bet, all players call to button who raises, everyone calls. Button 74o Other three had AA, KK and QQ Final pot $1615 or slightly more than 53 big bets. |

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
46 bb. limit holdem.
capped preflop, flop, turn, and river. side note: the one's doing the raising and reraising was me (nut flush draw) and someone who folded on the river. i capped the turn even on a draw. on the river, top pair (not even top kicker called 4 bets). |
Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
I profited (not net, but profit) $262 on a pot at .50/1 PP once - depending if you are calling BB as Big Blinds, or Big Bets, it's either 262 Big Blinds or 131 Big Bets (I know it's generally big bets, but some in this thread have referred to it as big blinds instead). Either way, quite a monster for that level. The three big stacks collided at that table and I came out on top (having the other two entirely covered) with the nut straight (flopped it, vs. a set... and a crazy guy with only top pair).
Best part about it all was that I had 56o in the big blind and saw the flop for no extra charge (234 flop, stack of about $130-140 had a set of 4s, we both slowplayed our hands and a Q came on turn. 44 took action and pushed all-in, stack with about $100 called with Q9 (??? guess he was tired), everyone else folded, and I called to take it down. Of course a lot of other action in there, but that's the general idea - I actually played it quite poorly, but it worked out in the end and I was extremely pleased.) I'd post it right now, but not at the computer with PT at the moment. |
Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
I do try to curb my cynicism but this time I just can't. This has got to be the most bland thread I have ever read. Pointless bad beat stories don't even intoxicate me with as much late night boredom as this post. An absolute disgrace.

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
$5-$10 HE live game. $224 pot($230 minus rake, 23BB). Turned the nut flush beating straight, lower flush and redraw to the straight flush.

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
Friday night I won a ~300BB pot playing pot limit holdem no max buy-in and deep stacks at the table helped a lot.
In the NL game last night someone won a similar sized pot despite the fact that there was a 60BB max buy-in. |

Is there an easy way to find the biggest pots won in PokerTracker? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. Go to the game notes tab, click get all. Wait for it to get all your games and then click "Pot" on the top. This will only sort by $$$ so if you want all of them you have to filter out each limit that you play to get the largest bb pot. |
Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
I took a stab at 10-20 once and came away with a $600 pot.
I flopped the nut straight and it was capped five ways without me even raising! On the turn it was bet at, raised, and reraised before I finally capped and, swear to god, the entire table turned to look at me as if to say "when the heck did you enter the hand?" By the river I got a few BBs out of a set and two pair, but the flush draws folded away. |

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
50NL 25/50 blinds I won a ~$560 pot against another big stack when i flopped a straight flush and let him draw with his naked ace to the A-high flush. i guess that's 560 "big bets" or 1120 "big blinds" depending on how you look at it.
