Frozen account what to do?

Ok so I have a friend (and no, by friend I don't mean me and I'm too embarassed to say it, I know better than to try this,) who got in a bit of trouble on Party and got his accounts frozen. The gist of what happened was he had a pre-existing account on Party, but wanted to get some rake back under an affiliate program. So he signed up under a fake name and everything was going fine until he tried to transfer the money into his neteller account. Well Party realized that the neteller account was in the wrong name and froze all of his accounts. When he called they said that he had to send them a copy of both people's drivers licenses in order to get the accounts unfrozen.

Basically I told him I would post here to see if anyone has had something like this happen to them before, and if they had any idea of what he should do to get his accounts unfrozen or at the very least his money out?

Thanks.

Hire someone with photoshop skills to make fake licenses for both people to send them in. All they want is a digital copy. PM me or AIM me at MaxB1520 if you want some advice.

Sounds like he screwed up royally. Why would you use a fake name and fake info??

Hope he didn't have too much money in there...because it is likely gone.

How do the people who do Empire500 like 50 times deal with this problem? They can't possibly use the same name/info over and over. There must be some sort of trick.

theres no trick. i dont know about 50 times but alot of people have accounts for thier "wife" with a completely different netteller account. therefore they get twice the bonuss every month. using the same account-well-you see what happens.

my brother and i had a similar problem on party

we both share accounts on various sites and one of us tried to use our bank card on the others name and the account became frozen. i had to fax a copy of my drivers license and bank card. when they received it--i was ready to play again within a day

his sounds a little more severe but he may just have to come clean to get it back straight

good luck

how did he fund this bogus account? he could not have made a deposit with the real NETeller account, so where did the chips come from that he used to accumulate the winnings?

The only thing your friend can do is bend over and grab his ankles. The money is gone and rightfully so. I think the correct legal term for this is fraud.

He should come clean and hope for the best.

Still people see nothing wrong with rake back schemes, but they will understand one day, one day I'll be proved right.

In theory, I agree with you, but how fair is that some get some rake back while others, mostly because they didn't know better don't?

I guess they (the sites) ask for this kind of behavior (from gamblers, who would have thought?)

I think his best chance is to just come clean and tell them, hopefully they let him keep his money, tho doubt they let him play there anymore.

I guess you could try the fake license thing, I mean I suppose he cant get in any worse trouble, but if he gets caught at that no way does he get his cash back.

its very fair. is it fair if someone buys the same product as someone else but receives a cheaper price? it is the comsumers responcility to do their research before buying any product or service.

Please expand on why you feel rake-back schemes are "wrong"--I signed up with Empire a couple of months ago (before I found this forum and started hearing about rake-back)--now it's really bugging me and I was about to post a question asking if there's any way I can change my "status" (any Party or Empire affiliates who can help me outin return for having me in their "stable" please PM me).
The bottom line, though, is that Empire is such easy money that I don't want to screw it up!!! Thanks

Re: Frozen account what to do?

I've always believed that it leads to higher rake in the long run and less promotions.

Party have in their T+C for affiliates that they are (something like) "Strongly discouraged" to offer rake back and similar deals.

Whilst rake back is not something I would (in this modern era) advise against, it still needs to be dealt with discreetly and by someone who you trust if it is to work.

I personally don't get my rake back, nor do I offer affiliate deals, but I am grown up enough to realise that for some people this is a lot of money.

I just advise that people do such things carefully and if it works out against them, not to whine about losing something that they were lucky to recieve in the first place.

Remember it is believed that the sites can see your Neteller transactions, so that won't provide enough cover if you are researched.

I don't believe anyone will get their account frozen purely for this behaviour but I do believe that anyone changing ID and the suchlike to claim something that party are trying to discourage can only expect to be made an example of.

Next time use all the same information but a new email address. Party (or rather Pay-Pro) will freeze both your old account and your new account and ask you to call them. When you call them they will ask which account you'd like to keep, leaving one frozen and one open.

it is the comsumers responcility to do their research before buying any product or service.

I believe that is a matter of opinion and my opinion is that it is wrong.

But then again, in the country I live we have powerful consumer protection laws, so we are used to not being scr.... when we purchase a product.

I guess that's not the case everywhere...

Unless you live a communist country (last time i checked Denmark was not) it makes no difference how strong your consumer protection laws may be... they dont apply here. Does the government step in when you pay 15 DKK for a soda at the 7-11 and someone else pays 10 DKK at the grocery store? Comsumer protection laws protect the quality of product... rarely do they regulate the price of the product. In a free market it is the consumers job to do their own research and pay the fair price for a product.

Re: Frozen account what to do?

I know rake back deals are "frowned upon" by the poker sites...to say the least.

But, all the same, I see rake backs sort of the same way casino's give comps.

I never ask for comps at casinos, and I never get them...even though sometimes my play would get me something back from the casino.

I do take advantage of rake back deals though.

Meanwhile; other people take full advantage of the fact that casinos are willing to offer comps...and they get them.

To each his own I guess. Since the system is in place though for people to get a rake rebate, I believe you're crazy not to.

Does it mean that rake will continue to go up? I'm not so sure about that...it's the poker sites that came up with affiliates after all...

Would I rather NOT get my 300+ per month in rake back in order that someday rakes might go down? No thanks, I'll take the cash up front.

Re: Frozen account what to do?

Hi!

I've had a empire account for about 6 months, and I'm signed up under an affiliate.

2 months ago I heard about the empire500 bonus. So, I created a new account with almost the same info (same name, slightly different birthday, and different adress) and I funded the account with the same neteller I used at the first place.

Everything went smoothly until I tried to cash out my 1K$. Suddenly both my accounts were frozen. I was really hot at myself for trying to create multiple accounts without trying with a smaller amount first (just to check if it would work).

So, I emailed Empire and told them that I didn't know that it is forbidden to have 2 accounts and bla bla bla. Here's what happened. They told me to choose which account I wanted to keep and then they transfered the cash from the other account to the one I choosed.

Kind of a surprise to me, I had already booked that loss

They probably thinks it's more worth to keep a customer (I played about 10 hrs/week there before) than giving me a hard time and most likely never see me again. Especially since they break about even on that bonus deal, according to my calculations.

Another question, does the different skins ever doublecheck their databases against each other?

What lesson did he miss? They caught him in the act, and not only did they not keep his money, they let him keep the scamed bonus. WTMF? This really pisses me off. Try to do sh!t on the level and all you get in return is higher rake to pay for BS like this.

You do not need two diffrent Neteller account if you as for an example have a GF you live with etc. I know cause pay-pro has called me a few times when she plays from the same computer and uses my Neteller account. She simply tell them the truth, and they in turn want a voice confirm from me, after that everything is okey.

Re: Frozen account what to do?

I think rakeback is fair. What I don't think is fair is that the affiliate I sign up through gets 25% of my contributed rake for life and I don't see a dime. Why don't they give that 25% to me? I would be ever so grateful, that adds up to a huge amount of money if you play as much as I have been playing... I'm in the same boat, I signed up already and I can't touch rakeback, I am strongly considering going to another site. Thats right, lack of rake back is LOSING customers.
