I got this email from "ep@empirepoker.com" whose actual email address is: <promotions@casinocool.com>. It didn't have any Empire logo or graphics and doesn't have the usual style of an Empire promotion. Do you think its valid?

I suspect it is. But once you actually signon to empire, you should get the popup saying you have an deposit bonus available.

It does look fishy. I emailed info@empirepoker.com about this, let's see what they know. Strange that they would send email on such short notice, it takes time for most people to get $1K into a website.

If this is not true, how do they know our email..If this is not true, empire will have a great problem, because people will think they hacked their systeem for their email adresses

Yeah, I got it too. My gut reaction was, "Wow, a whole 10%?!?!" I don't think it's legit, either; the sending address is screwy, and I don't recall seeing them offer a bonus of less than 20%.

I'm guessing affiliate scam.

I got it too. Strange, the only thing I have ever used that email for is Empire Poker. Never received any other emails at that account other than from Empire.

That seems to imply that whoever is responsible has access to Empire's email list. Disturbing; I have to wonder what else they might have access to.

I haven't played at Empire for a long time; I cleared the last bonus and completely cashed out, at least 6 months (probably longer) ago.

Of course, in the email reply I got, they told me I didn't qualify for this one, but I'm going to try it anyway.

I just got another email saying the person who replied to my first one was "unaware of this bonus promotion" but that it is in fact legit and I qualify for it.

Of course, I made my deposit before I realized I needed to wait until tomorrow, so now I'm back to the emailing thing. Great.

They lied, you are not special [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]. Everyone can get the one-time IGMPay bonus anytime. I find IGMPay to be a little bit of a pain in the ass, but it was worth setting up just for the Party and Empire bonuses.

I emailed them about it, and they said it was valid (19 minute response time, pretty damn good). Did you get the original email from ep@empirepoker.com (aka promotions@casinocool.com)? If so, you are will probably get the bonus. If not didn't get the email, you probably won't get the bonus.

I got the email, but shot my wad too early and put in $1000 just a few minutes ago, (not realizing I needed to wait until tomorrow).

I'm hoping they'll let me slide on it. I've got an email into them right now, so we'll see.

I was dumb enough to do this too. E-mailed them and asked them whether I should withdraw and deposit. They said since I'm "special", I can have the bonus today (it's pending).

It makes sense for them to award the bonus, otherwise they lose the neteller service charge on a grand. It's at least 5% so they'd be throwing away $50.
