Poker haiku

After reading the Nth "can I slowplay this?" post of the past week, I came up with this:

Tried slow-playing aces
Got cracked by seven-two fish
Tearing chapter out

Anyone else want to take a stab?

That looks like six syllables. No haiku for you!

How about:

Slow-players: Beware!
Fish will call and free cards hurt
Raise for more money

I can't count outs, either. I like yours better anyway, although it's not as enigmatic as I usually like my haiku.

No way...if I had 6 syllables, you've definitely got 6.

Re: Poker haiku

Haiku is a Japanese form of poetry consisting of 3 lines with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second and 5 in the third. The content is just entertainment...add a little levity to an otherwise mundane day.

Re: Poker haiku

I dedicate this in loving memory to a poor fish I played last week whose aces just never seemed to hold up.

Trips face river raise
Fishies aces lose again
Got in free from blind

Foolish limp big pair.
