And on a more positive note...

Lately it seems like a lot of regulars are on some (major) downswings. I appreciate their honesty, and I enjoy reading suggestions of other posters, as I'm sure the knowledge will come in handy when "it" happens to me (and I know it will).

However, I also enjoy hearing about good runs people have over long stretches of SNGs. Anyone have killer stats from the last month or so? I find them encouraging. People couldn't be pros if they weren't long term winners, and you can't be a long term winner without short term success. If not stats on a mass quantity of SNGs, has anyone had a grandslam lately? Or has anyone finished in the money X out of X+3 times, where X is a number greater than the number of man crushes SFB has?

I'm having an awesome December so far.

11s - 18 games / 76.77% ROI / +$152
22s - 28 games / 49.35% ROI / +$304
33s - 50 games / 20.00% ROI / +$330
55s - 2 games / 263.64% ROI / +$290
Overall: 98 games / 41.8% ROI / +$1076

This is very good for me.

Re: And on a more positive note...

Since 11/1 my ROI has been 32.77% over about 200 SnGs. (about 140 $27s and 60 $60s)

Yes, I suck at playing lots of SnGs, but the few I play I pwn at.

Re: And on a more positive note...

I'm 3 for 3 in $500 HU SNGs today, which rocks.

Irieguy

PS-That also makes me 3 for 3 lifetime when I don't have either 11 Heinekens or 2 bottles of wine in me when I play them.

Stats are on another computer, but I've made more so far in December than I did in all of November. So, I'm happy right now.

Re: And on a more positive note...

I had a grand salami last month (first ever)...My roll is only a few hundred above that mark now...lol. Funny how I used to think BR increases were "gradual". Instead I find it involves a short burst where it shoots up, and then simple damage control when you're not running well

breaking even is great when, given the same circumstances a year ago, I wouldve lost 500 or something over that same stretch.

Re: And on a more positive note...

i've played 124 109s so far this month, with a 28.7% ROI... 8-tabling.. haven't been working myself too hard.

and on Nov. 27, I had two grandslams in the same day at the 109s (a grandslam is 4 1st places in a row, yes?... if not, then I just had whatever 4 1st places in a row is, twice... separated by only 7 OTM finishes) which is the first time that's happened for me...

of course, I played a buttload of SNGs that day though (relatively... 66 SNGs in one day is a lot for me)

Well, the 5.5k from a 2nd in the Party 40k is still sitting in my bank account and it makes me feel like an all-start every time I go to the ATM.

This is so true. I used to think I sucked because my profit chart would go: upswing for 20-30, breakeven for 30-40, upswing for 20-30, breakeven . . .

(Unfortunately the last few weeks have looked more like downswing for 20-30, breakeven for 30-40, downswing for 20-30, breakeven . . . )

Re: And on a more positive note...

Earlier this week I won 6 consecutive SnGs (5x55 + a qualifier to the $200K); I hadn't won more than 2 in a row before that. Plus somewhere in the middle I also came 5th in a 109MTT.

But running too well makes me nervous and probably affects my game.

Re: And on a more positive note...

Last month was my best ever. Made about $1500 playing the $22s, don't have my stats but I think I played around 450 for 16% ROI. This month is starting off even better, up around $1700 so far played about 200 with a 45% ROI. My goal is to make around 1k a month, so I am pretty happy.

Re: And on a more positive note...

over 18% ROI at the 30s (last 1077 games).

not too bad for a rookie with occasional fish-like tendancies. barely a winner at the 50s though.

Re: And on a more positive note...

Over my first 300 SnG's of the month at the 109s and 215s I have:

ROi: 29%
Profit: $10,575

This was after a great November which included a 60 buy-in downswing and $73 profit for the month. Go Heaters!

Nice 100 game run. I'm curious about the variety of games you're playing. Why vary from 11s to 55s?

I'm a small stakes player still learning as you can see from my initial deposit but SnG's have been kind to me the last 3 months.

Previously - I was lucky to break even, have never withdrawn money from Party (but I've made a few deposits!), and was ranked 7002 on the Tournament Leader Board a month ago.

Bought Eastbay's SitnGo Analyzer software, using it to go thru every sng that I play, and read this forum a lot.

150+ 33's later, ITM= 42%, ROI= 23%, ranked 402 on the Party TLB for Dec.

Nothing spectacular, but a refreshing turn of events.

PS - thank you to everyone on this forum and to Eastbay for creating the analyzer!

Just got internet back up about 3 weeks ago and started off with a bang...30% ROI in about 200 $33, moved up to the $55s and killed the first 100 for a 40% ROI and a little over $120 per hour.

Unfortunately I'm falling back to earth and am negative over the last 100 $55s...but overall up about $4500 ish over the past 3 weeks.

Re: And on a more positive note...

I hope I don't jinx my good luck by posting here but:
My ROI is 26% after 3 tabling the $16 turbos for 250 tournies in the last 20 days. My total profit is $1,049.

BTW, durron, in your opinion, I would like to know what you think about the 27's since im planning on moving up to those within the next 1-2 weeks. I would like to know what you think is the decent:donk player ratio on average and any other things that change when making the transition from the 16s to the 27s.

Also, I'm not moving to the 27s just because I have a 26% ROI now, I just feel like I can beat the 16s even after 2000 tournies and think Im ready for the 27s.

Thanks in advance...

Not only did I not find the 27s harder, I found them easier than the 16 turbos. The players are tighter thus making the bubble easier to exploit.

The $60s are significantly harder than the $27s IMO (so far) but still very beatable.

I play the 11s when it's like 5am. There are only like 20,000 players on Party and I'm usually dead tired. So I'll only play for 11 dollars in case I fall asleep.

interesting

i just looked at that history thing for the first time ever

based on the money ive made playing SNGs, and the amount of money ive actually cashed out from partypoker, im a loser at other games.
