They don't seem much tougher on the Boss Network and Pacific.

sort of.
I might occasionally play a little lower. Or just decide to play more satellites or other stuff instead (but this is always mood-dependent for me anyway).

Conversely, I am more likely to look into a table or two at one limit higher on Thurs through Sunday...and I would not typically do this Monday through Wednesday.



So..while my rule isn't exactly "play lower limits on mon and Tues" I think that I am, in effect, doing close to the same thing with "only play higher on Thursday through Sunday."

Last night was crazy with maniacs, then it died down around 9pm on party(Or maybe i couldnt get to good tables).

anyone actually have any ideas/reasons?

Microbob so you feel the games are easier on thurs-sun? Interesting though, I wondered why all the maniacs sat down today....

this is the general wisdom.

more drunks playing late at night...more people having just gotten their pay-checks...more people logged-on in the first place.


Same general logic as to why the games are considered to be a bit better (re: looser) in the U.S. prime-time (evening) hours then they are during the day-time.

Might've been a lot of GAMBLOORS who had money on the playoff games and needed a bit more of a fix.

Yeah, it's just that. Higher limits have killed me on Monday-Wednesday.

There's no reason why you shouldn't switch up your limits and table-selection as conditions warrant.

If you find fishy players on Monday through Wednesday at your favorite limits...then play them. If you think the selection sucks then play down a bit if you can find more profitable tables.

Obviously it is more likely that you will find less-profitable tables on Mon and Tues.
But you don't have to limit yourself to simply not playing that limit on Mon and Tues.
Just use your best judgement when you sit at that table.


I believe that some players will do this with time-of-day as well (more likely to play a little bit higher in the evenings....or play lower than they normally do in the mornings).


Currently I'm mostly a 5/10 player with occasional weekend sessions at 10/20 when I find a table/fish I like AND I'm feeling confident enough and strong enough (re: not terribly tired or anything) to take on the higher game.

As I continue to gradually move up I will simply become a guy who mostly plays 10/20 who occasionally drops back to 5/10.
