didn't he say he had a set of kings? I couldn't hear him well in the audio but seriously that was a heinous laydown.

I think it was faked. He probably had a weak ace or something..I know the comments seem real but no way in hell could that fold be real.

If the cards were right, it was beyond awful. No one checks there, let alone folds.

So ESPN is now conspiring with players DURING ACTUAL PLAY to fake hands?

Diabolical.

He also spent a while thinking of calling an all in from what looked to be a small stack wtih JJ, not so good.

I thought the commentary wasn't live so unless it is live commentary(Which it probably isn't)..they can easily fudge hands.

I don't think they can fudge that one.

Judging by Reed's reaction, I'm pretty sure the hand was real.

Lon's and Norm's comments most likely weren't live but Phil Ivey's incredulity when Reed told him what he had certainly WAS live.

HOW THE HELL CAN YOU MAKE A MISTAKE WORSE THAN THAT?!

If you've been paying attention to his commentary, you'd be able to infer he was referring to his past marriages.

For those of us who stupidly changed the channel at the worst possible moment...what was the action leading up to the awful fold?

I believe it went: QQ raises preflop. TT calls. 7d6d calls. Flop is Ad-Jd-7s. Checked around. Turn is T. QQ checks. TT checks (!). 76s bets ~1/3-to-1/2 of the pot. QQ calls. TT folds.

sekrah 08-09-2005 10:54 PM

Re: tommy reed, set of 10\'s

Pham raised with QQ, standard 3 BB.. Reed called with 10-10.. The other guy called with 6-7 (forget his name).

Flop came A-J-7.. All three checked

Turn came 10.. Pham checked, Reed checked, Other dude (bottom pair and flush draw) bets $30k, Pham calls.. Reed folds?!?!
