Semibluff to full bluff...

No reads on villain. Any value in this line, or am I just spewing?

Call the flop, Call the turn, Fold river UI.

The way you played it, Dont bet the river with your QUEEN HIGH vs PFR.

Why did you raise? Is he weak tight? just noticed you had no read.

yeah spew bro.

you cannot be serious

this hand is super standard. betting the river is opponent dependent. sometimes c/r the turn instead of the flop.

good play on the flop and turn. not sure about the river bet. usually once these guys call on the turn they're gonna call the river too. maybe he has K high + osed he'd call the turn with, but not the river? anyone want to offer a more substantial analysis?

Re: Semibluff to full bluff...

Am I the only one who folds this preflop? I would defend with this if the raise were coming from a steal position, but I guess I give the UTG/hijack guy a little more respect.

The rest of the hand looks totally standard except for the river. There are plenty of draws for villain to have been calling along with, so betting looks fine. Villain doesn't have to fold all that often to make this worthwhile

only thing I have issues with is PF, seems a tad too loose for my taste.

Its fine imo. You should think long and hard about the river bet though. I think you cant fold his hand with that 2d. He is calling down with his AK,AQ,KQ type hand. I would probably check fold.

Good line flop and turn. PF a bit loose without reads.
Personally I wouldn't bet the river without reads.

Folding preflop sucks.

Postflop play is fine given the proper read.

Re: Semibluff to full bluff...

It's worth noticing that he raised UTG. This makes it less likely that he has K-high (KQ is possible, K9s maybe), and as others have mentioned, if he makes it to the river with A-high, he is probably not folding.

I fold this preflop, too.

Cmon bert sucks? Were not suited were not connected and were up against an assumed average UTG raisor. The game being 5 handed helps but not all that much. I won't claim its unprofitable, but playing this heads up w/o any read isnt a no brainer in my book.

Post flop play looks just fine to me, I fail to see a good reason to play this board passively.

i like your play on all streets given any kind of a read that this guy can make a fold. nh

Re: Semibluff to full bluff...

if you want to bluff/semi-bluff him off this pot, and you think he's able to fold..I think you have to be more aggressive. A line like c/c the flop, c/r turn, then lead the river might work. But what i would do is...

fold preflop. But since you didn't...

c/c flop, c/c turn, c/f river UI.

cheers
