question for Irieguy

Did you ever finish your project where you were going to play 100 $6 sng's without looking at your cards. If so, how'd that go?

It was too boring apparently and he didn't want to finish. He learned what he needed to anyway.

Which was? I never was 100% clear on why he did this in the first place...

Re: question for Irieguy

I played a little less than half of them for a -3% ROI. I couldn't get enough firsts to beat the game blind.

I wanted to find out if I could acquire chips early in a SNG using tactics much different than I would normally use early in a SNG. I learned what I wanted to and then got bored. So, I bought Raptor out in exchange for room and board at the Palace Station during the HU weekend.

For what it's worth... I think an experienced, good player could play the first 4 levels blind and easily beat the low limit SNGs. But not by folding.

-3% ROI is very good playing blind with a huge rake IMO.

I played lots of pots from the blinds. Whenever a situation would develop where I could take the pot down at some point, I would do so.

Re: question for Irieguy

I'd imagine you call from late position with many limpers, too. Seeing as you can then take flops down which are all checked to you etc. Also raising from cutoff and button to try to take down the blinds when all folded to you or perhaps one limper. Stuff like that?

You don't really want to be in multiway pots since you can't really "hit your hand" and its harder to bluff out multiple people. Raising limpers might be a good idea but not calling.
