Kinda deep hand - overbet

Villain is loose passive postflop. He would never lead the flop with a hand better than mine. I know he will chase a spade draw, and he'll check/call with Ax, two pair, and a set. I interrpreted his weak river bet as a cheap showdown play, or a stupid valubet with Ax (he has two pair now!). I've been 1-tablign and playing fairly lag, but I doubt anyone has noticed. Thoughts?

I like it. Villian seems willing to put money in the pot, this is perfect time for overbet.

So, what are my other options besides calling? Raise to $50 and fold to a push? But I never know what these guys will do on the river when there is already so much money in there. I didn't feel I could fold to a push here, so I just shoved and hoped to get a call.

Results: Villain instacalls with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J and my hand is good.

Why would you want to fold this? Only "reasonable" hand that beats you is AA?

I like the push. I think this is something I need to do a lot more often. I have been raising to 30-60 here thinking they are more likely to call only to see them call and turn over a weaker Jack, a flush or fold. Basically it seems clear that you have to raise and somebody thats going to call a small raise is going to call a big raise so tax the kusty.

It never even crossed my mind to fold here. The only reason to raise to 50 I think would be that you thought thats the most he will pay off but I can't put him on a hand here that pays off 50 and not a push. To call 50 I think he has to have at least a Jack, flush, or weaker boat - all of which I think will call a push. If I'm behind here I happily throw away my stack.

NH I'm suprised he called. I've missed these overbets 4/4 times today.

I like the push. At lower stakes players seem to think that a push means a bluff.

I like the play and laugh at him while you take his money because the donk slowplayed his flush. At low limits people are so adapt to call huge overbets on river with TP, the sooner some people realize this the more profitable they will be.

I haven't had this overbet called in days, but I still keep doing it. Villain liked that jack, so give him some action. I like the continuation betting on the flop and turn with monotone flop. I think too many people give up their hands when this happens.

Of course if a fourth club hits the hand becomes much more interesting
