DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

Dell Coupons

Some stackable coupons and coupons for other accessories and computers they have. Expires 4/21

With that being said, does anyone know how Canadians can get their hands on these deals? Dell.ca sucks and these coupons can't be used there.

how can i get the best deal on a 2001fp using this method?

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

You have to become a Dell prefered member to do this which seems like a pain in the ass.

Also you need to get the 35 off BigBucks coupon off Ebay for a couple bucks. If you can get both of those, it's a great deal.

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

if you go through dell business it is listed for 549 - but the coupon doesnt work. Is this worth it?

(for some reason it is more though other parts of thier website)

coupons are for home, not small business.

I just bought it during this deal. You had to add something onto your order to bring the price just about $750. So i added on a flash memory key for like 15 bucks then took off the 90 stackable coupon for orders over $750. Then applied the 20% off coupon for dell flat panel montiors, which brought my 2001fp monitor to $509 plus shipping. Not a bad deal, glad i got it.

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

sorry to be dumb here, but i signed up for the prefered acount thing.

it is 10 % off 250
Does that mean:
10% off anything over 250
or 10% off up to 250?
I am looking to buy a computer too!! that would be a nice bonus.

(also if you are a computer guy can i pm you my specs and you tell me if its a good poker computer?)

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

You can't buy a new computer that won't crush poker software. The only real consideration is whether you get a 21" monitor or a dual monitor system or a dual 21" monitor system, etc.

sorry - what do you mean? Just about any new computer will do? I have loits of trouble with running pokertracker now, so i am hoping the new computer will help. And i am very excited about getting two monitors that are 1600x1200.

My worry is that i will order one that doesnt really support the two monitors or that i will ot have ordered a good enough video card

if you buy the discount on ebay - is it a code that is emailed to you and you can use instantly or is it something that is mailed to you. Can you use multiple coupons or just one?

Thanks

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

I just did the whole thing.

First use the 25% off coupon. (They say 30% on the link under that, but that is wrong apparently. It's only 25% for 2001FP).

Then I signed up for the Dell Preferred account thing (approved instantly), get another 10% off $250. You also get 0% APR until 2006, if you want. I think you have to use the Dell Preferred method to pay if you want the extra 10% off.

Then went to Ebay and bought a $35 off coupon for $10 (could probably go lower, moments after I saw a "Buy It Now" for only $6).

Apply everything, and got my 2nd 2001FP for $474 before tax.

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

Poker is easy work for a computer. You're not exactly rendering high-resolution animation. Any new one is probably more than enough. Study up on graphics cards before buying. When they talk about "gaming" they're talking about video games, not poker. Again, poker is fairly easy work for a graphics card. You just need one that will run the resolution and number of monitors you want, not one that will run next year's hottest video games, unless of course you do that too. The difference in price on just the video card can be hundreds of dollars.

I could smuggle a few of these across the border to canada if that's legal (which would make it not smuggling i guess).

Sounds like it will work fine for poker. One question though, how much is it. Reason I ask is its probably cheaper to do the 8400 on the small business site and add a 20" screen there, then go to the home site and order your 2nd monitor.

Edit: configured the 8400 + 2001FP machine on small business and its $1376 - 100 rebate (+ tax). Then you are only left with buying one more 2001FP for your dual monitors.

thanks for your help - i am going nuts over this thing.....not good with knowing the specs on computers.

I dont have a clue what the difference is between the two. Is it worth it to switch over to that one?

Just got mine for $460.58 after using dell acct 10% discount, 25% off, and Big Bucks coupon - big bucks gave me the 50$ off 699 for some reason! sweet.

Alright...I tried applying the coupons but nothing happened when I clicked "apply." Also, I was planning on buying 2 monitors, so do I need to get some sort of video card in order to run 3 monitors at a time? Basically, I guess I need ot know everything I need to buy and how to do it. I am pretty computer illiterate, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

I would go for the 8400, its just a little better machine. Also, i noticed things like you have the 3.2 ghz processor, $100 upgrade you could do without
also the modem, unless you dial up, isnt needed. things like that.

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

you will probably at least need 1 more video card. hard to tell without knowing your setup

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

i was talking to dell for 45 MINUTES just to ask if i could hook two monitors up to the dimension 4700 - the lady on the phone was freaking stupid as hell. thats all i wanted. she said it could not be done and that i had to order a 8400 - which is fine and may well be true but that could have been answered in 1 min. She kept going on and on - then she was mad i didnt order the computer from her (she said i couldnt order through dell small business because i wasnt a business) thats why i didnt order from her - i can do it online.
thanks for your guys help - you were much more knowledgeable then them

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

they are both the same monitor. one is just full price probably ($799) and the other is the discounted package price ($349). Im assuming thats what you are looking at. You are able to order from small business you just aren't supposed to since you aren't a business. It's pretty simple to get around, when it asks for your business name just put in your first and last name. There have been TONS of people that have ordered from Dell SB that have never even considered starting a business.

Re: DELL 2001FP 35% off and other deals

thanks - again

i called them again and talked to someone else in the tech department and they told me i could use the 4700 for dual monitors, they really pissed me off after 45 min on the phone. i got one monitor for 474 and i see what you are talking about - i will likely order the 8400 with another monitor
