\"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/10) (10/20 NL)

Tonight's game is scheduled to be 10/20 NL, with a minimum buyin of $1000. Bart's told me there's a couple of action players, including someone who used to be a regular on the show that hasn't been seen in a while.

Last night's 50/100 NL "Whale Game" had what seemed like at least 10 $15k+ hands, with a few of those around the $25k range. Plenty of action to be had, except for Ed Shazarian. He takes down the largest pot on the show, spiking a flush on the river for about $28k, and then a couple hands later sticks an ultra-tight player to play his chips. He's the type of player you want in the game, but when he gets lucky he'll pull off the hit and run on the table. For those who want to see all the 5/10 NL hijinks, www.liveatthebike.com from 6-9pm PT. Hopefully tonight they'll actually start the show on time tonight and have a full 3 hours.

I'm just wondering how much Barry finished up last night. He was staging a late session comeback after getting sucked out for 20K plus...we'll see if he is playing or posting tonight.

edit: Anyone wanna take a 10 minute over/under on how late their gonna start tonight?

I really have tremendous respect for anyone who can handle the swings in this crazy game. It's a good thing Mr. Calloway golf wasn't there last night or he'd have gone off on Yosh about Ed again.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/10) (10/20 NL)

I only watch LATB every once in a while.

Just curious, how often do the "big name" poker players play on there?

On the highlight reel, there are several TV players that are on that but I have yet to see one when I have time to tune in.

Thanks.

Barry had one of the worst nights I have ever seen anyone have.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/10) (10/20 NL)

There were quite a few around when Legends was being held. Sometimes the Friday shows will have someone like Kenna James.

Wednesday/Friday are the nights you're more like to see a known player since the games are higher limit NL games those nights.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/10) (10/20 NL)

I've probably only averaged 1 episode/week since they debuted, but I've seen Barry Greenstein a few times, ditto Tuan Lee, Hassan Habib, and Greg Raymer.

And what's-her-name from Full Tilt that Tuch thinks is the greatest player ever (not) was in that one episode reading a book...

Nice to see Gor has finally gotten over getting crushed by Barry. And a Bartgasm on the first hand as 72sooted busts Mo's pocket aces. Nice suckout.

Yet another early Bartgasm on the show, nice of George to play the royal hammer and suck out.

I'm not sure I can trust that Tuch's standards are high for women when he considered Dennis Quaid and Vince Van Patten to be major celebrities...

WWE Raw Deal

My personal site hasn't been updated in a few months due to my webmaster having a million and six personal issues going on. Hopefully it will get back on track once I get back from Vegas / California.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/10) (10/20 NL)

It's a collectible card game (like Magic: The Gathering, except wrestling vs. fantasy) - that's why I'm going out to California next week, for a convention featuring the game. And it's also why I spend far too much time on my computer working on said game at all hours of the night.

All of that takes a backseat to Bart saying:

"He's got out some raisin' chips."

I LOVE David Tuchman's tie! Saw him at the party last night - he was talkin' to some serious hotties. A great announcer, a great poker player and just a great 'player'. The man can do it all.

And he supports free speech.

Dear god even at NL1000 people don't understand that checking the hand down when in a sidepot only applies in some tourney situations not cash games.

Hey is there any way that you can can add some graphics that show where the button is also how much is person has bet at each round of action? A total pot count would be nice too.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/10) (10/20 NL)

Hey Bart and Dave,

Please get a ruling on that raise. I was playing about 2 weeks ago at the Bike and I was involved with a pot against Ed regarding this very situation. Three of us saw a flop and player A checked, I checked, and Ed bet 150. Player A went all in for a total of 180 and I called under the impression Ed could not reraise. Ed said he could, player A said he could, and the dealer said he could. Ed ended up reraising all in and pushed me out. What is the ruling on that?

11-10-2005 10:56 PM

george shouldnt be so upset.

I mean to me that is like being dealt 83 and folding preflop and when the board comes 883 you say oh I could have won. I mean stuff like that happens. He made the correct laydown. Sometimes you have to laydown the winning hand.
Will be interesting to see if that has an effect on his play to where maybe he will call down more hands?
