OESD & Trip 9s - Raise, Call, or Fold?

No reads. I think I should have checked this flop, but I think I bet out reflexively because I've been playing almost all 6max for a while and I would bet out in 6max because the pair of nines is more likely to be the best hand at the moment. That being said ...

How would you play this postflop?

I think the flop bet is OK. I think you are ahead more than 50% of the time against a T overcard with 3 opponents. I play it the same.

The river is a nightmare. I think I'd fold it because it's probably going to get raised again behind you, but I'm really not sure what hands you are up against here.

Why didn't you bet the turn? Also, I don't know whether to fold or call the flop because I suspect someone else might also have a jack. Calling is probably right though. That said, I think the river is an easy fold. Someone flopped the straight and/or someone boated up on the turn.

I like your flop bet. I'll bet a fairly high pocket pair with one overcard against 3 loose players. I don't know if that's right or even a good parallel since the top card was a ten, not a king or something in an unraised pot.

When you fold the river, I like the whole hand.

I think I would bet the turn and if no one slowed down probably fold depending on the pot odds.

I like a flop fold here. You only paid half a bet to see the flop, and you may already be behind to QJ. Also, a pair of nines being the best hand on the flop is an assumption.

Does no one else dislike completing with an unsuited middle gap-connected pair of cards?

I call if suited, or JT.

UTG is playing like he hit trips on the flop and a FH or Quads on turn.

Re: OESD & Trip 9s - Raise, Call, or Fold?

I'm willing to bet that there is no way he hit quads on the turn, but a FH is looking likely.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned someone limping JQ as a distinct possibility. By the time you get to the river, I think you're going to have to fold it. I like the flop bet, and I might have bet the turn and folded when it was two back to me thinking I could be drawing dead.

This hand does seem pretty vulnerable, but it doesn't seem so easy to get away from before the river either. On the flop I have an OESD to go with middle pair and an (admittedly dangerous if it comes) J overcard. The board is rainbow so I probalby don't have to worry about a flush. On the turn, I have full house chances.

I do think I would have rather checked the flop. It still would have come back two though. I did consider folding there.
