I don't understand how this keeps popping up as "news" on various sites.

Because it just became official the other day. That's why. It was rumored for a long time because of City Center but the employees were just notified a few days ago.

I think the San Remo still might have $3 blackjack.

The place had a dirty charm about it. Wasn't the Gold Spike mind you, but where else can you get taunted by bitter Asian blackjack dealers as you see the dreaded ace after a doubled down 11?

Good Riddance! Most Vegas Rat Holes have better food than the Barfwalk.

Awww come on now! I have fond memories of the Boardwalk! Back in the late 80's I took my mother on her first ever trip to Vegas and we stayed there. Back then they had dollar blackjack and two dollar craps. My mother and I drank like fish and gambooooled for 5 days. Good times.

Back in the 80s, there was probably only about 50 other places in Vegas you could have done something like that!

Ya, but we didn't know any better! Remember Casino Royale and the 25 cent craps with the strikers outside? More good times.

If you are looking for "dirty charm" go downtown and play penny ante slots and bj next to bums and street walkers.

Speaking of asian bj dealers, I stopped playing against them (and going to IP period) almost twenty years ago. My only gambling superstition
