I'm having second thoughts about playing this event now, sigh. After a tough break in yesterdays event and going out first in the Party 750k, I find that I do not play very well. Hopefully I can calm down and make up for donking 80% of my stack off.

no real hands for me yet, but i've taken a few pots that didn't belong to me. no big pots played at my table since the 4th hand, and it was only for about 800.

Do you think it was a mistake to shove 1700 to win a 260 (plus blinds (?)) pot when you will only be called by a hand that beats you?

If you mean only AA and KK will call, then yeah, seems like a good bet to me. I think it was actually a conspiratorial chip dumping and they are planning to split the last longer bet, or maybe not.
